I'm 22 yrs old. I'm from Asheville, NC, and just recently graduated from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. I'm currently serving in an AmeriCorps program called FEMA Corps.
I spent the fall doing long-term recovery for Hurricane Sandy at the FEMA NYC field office in Queens, NY. I am now spending the winter round working in administration and curricula at the Emergency Management Institute on the campus of the National Emergency Training Center in Emmitsburg, MD, where I am living for now in the dorms.
I like to rock out on the guitar and my keyboard.
I'm very contradictory in many ways:
I'm a country boy who loves the big city life.
I love fancy dinners and nice clothes, but hate spending money.
I drive like a maniac, but can't stand it when people don't use their turn signals or don't turn their headlights on in the rain, fog, etc.
I can be unpredictably introverted or extroverted, depending on my mood and the amount of caffeine I've consumed recently.
I grew up in the suburbs and went to boarding school, yet I feel most comfortable hanging out with some sketchy rednecks or hippies, and one of my favorite activities before it got totaled was taking my Subaru off-road in the mud or through a creek and pretending it was a truck, windows down and music blasting.
I love dancing, watching movies and TV shows, and anything that happens in the great outdoors, especially if it involves snow. I love to ski and ice-climb.
