I am phenomenological, quick-witted, and vivacious.

My Self-Summary

I'm a little bit quirky (okay, maybe a lot...), a little bit crazy, sassy, sexy, a survivor. I'm all about living every day to the fullest, never taking a moment for granted, doing my best to make a difference.

"Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life. DEFINE YOURSELF."

Graduated May '08 with a BA in existential-phenomenological psych. Don't know what that means? Doesn't matter. Lots of big fancy words to say that I've emerged from college with a major passion to be a counselor. Paying the bills for now as a case worker for a community mental health agency. Oh the craziness I've seen, but I love my job, and for the most part I love my clients (in all their melodramatic borderline glory)

I'm a football fanatic (much to my fiance's dismay) and during football season, you'll have to seriously bribe me to get me away from the tv, especially if the Steelers are playing (seriously... I missed one game this season and that was for my engagement photo session).

Only a man who has felt ultimate despair is capable of feeling ultimate bliss. -Alexandre Dumas

Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.

What I’m doing with my life

Working and working some more, planning a wedding, learning all the different ways to get from point a to point b in dfw (GPS is a beautiful invention), most of all just enjoying life.

I’m really good at

Playing the piano, writing poetry, reading books faster than my friends think is humanly possible, being a good friend (listening and giving advice), cooking (I love having my own place!), starting to work on teaching myself guitar (I've had one forever but never had the time to learn).

The first things people usually notice about me

My eyes, my smile, my curves, or my height (I live in heels a lot which puts me close to 6')

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

BOOKS: anything by Alexandre Dumas, Stephen King's Dark Tower series, the Hitchhiker's Guide series, Victor Hugo, Gustave Flaubert, Posie Graeme-Evans, Philippa Gregory, Viktor Frankl, Heidegger, Merleau-Ponty, Carl Jung, Alfred Adler, JPII, Weigel, A Tribe Apart by Patricia Hearsch ...The list never ends really, I almost always have a book in my hand

MOVIES: Au Revoir Les Enfants, La Reine Margot, anything Audrey Hepburn, Troy, Casablanca, The Passion, Kingdom of Heaven, Gangs of New York, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Mask of Zorro, The Incredibles, Man in the Iron Mask, Enchanted, 300

MUSIC: pretty much anything..I have around 25 gb of music on my hard drive and some more cds that I've never burned. Not big into tejano or most rap.

FOOD: Italian, Tex-Mex, Japanese or Chinese, sushi

The six things I could never do without

Music (complete and utter silence drives me insane), books, family, friends, faith, a good pillow

I spend a lot of time thinking about

hmm...lots of things. I'm very ADD so my train of thought takes frequent detours.

Lately though its been moments of being amazed at how my life has truly started to come together.

On a typical Friday night I am

Hanging out with my friends, maybe on a date, sometimes just chilling at home after a long week at work. Fridays are incredibly unpredictible. Saturdays are pretty regular - Trinity Hall with friends.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Life is what you pray for, but love is what you stay for...

You should message me if

You read something here that intrigues you and want to know more...

You just want someone fun to talk with about random things (philosophy, theology, psychology, literature, music, whatever)...

You want to? Seriously, I don't bite (unless asked *wink*). What's the worst thing that can happen? You meet an awesome chick?
