The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A spirit of curiosity. Yes, it kills the cat (which, mind you, is a plus) but its effects on humans are unknown.

Sleep. I am one of those people who wants 8 hours minimum a day. Not average, minimum.

Books. I have slowly come to the realization that reading makes me happy. For now my aim is to get to have at least one good book in the pipeline when reading. Trouble is that it is hard to find good books.

Music. I like to listen to music almost always. While working, while reading no matter what. I can listen to the same song over and over and over and over again. In grad school, this annoyed my roommates enough to threaten to throw the speakers away. I have since discovered headphones.

A good group of friends.
