I am a geeky feminist person who is far too lazy for her own good.
I spend most of my time watching bad TV, playing Magic the
Gathering, or pottering about the internet.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently studying for an MA in Creative Writing because I decided my undergrad degree in English wasn't enough to guarantee I'll be unemployed forever.
I’m really good at
Six pooling! Nah just kidding. My builds are much more
sophisticated than that.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably the hair? It changes colour a lot. Maybe my laugh. It's
pretty loud. I once terrified an old lady in Sainsbury's because I
laughed at one of the ridiculous taglines they put on their basics
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
So so so many. My taste in books is pretty diverse. I like fantasy and sci-fi things (anyone with a double R for middle initials is a-okay), as well as more literary heritage type works. Probably couldn't pick a favourite - I'll read pretty much anything! Right now I'm reading We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves.
Movies I'll watch anything. I like everything from 12A Action films to obscure profound arty things. Pans Labyrinth and Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel are two of my favourites. Of the things I've seen lately, Mad Max: Fury Road was fantastic on reflection, where as I loved Jurassic World initially but have grown to dislike it the more I think about it.
TV shows, again, I'll watch anything - usually crap dramas - but documentaries are fun, too. Music, again, I'm easy. Folk, indie, rock, pop, metal - any combination of the above and I'll give it a listen. Particularly keen on Passenger at the moment.
So basically I could have just said 'anything'. But I do really like ice cream.
The six things I could never do without
- The interwebs
- Some kind of creative outlet
- Someone to talk to
- Regular time spent cuddling small furry creautres
- A ridiculous number of kitchen appliances
- The ability to think of the final item for a list
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The arbitrariness of what we perceive as order superimposed on chaos. That and how to win at Smash Bros.
On a typical Friday night I am
At Friday Night Magic >.> I know how to party!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I will unashamedly steal people's food, but get sad if they steal mine.
You should message me if
You want to talk to me. As much as I like the gold stars of "I approve of you as a human being", it doesn't really make for great conversation.
