Hey everyone,

I'm new to this so be gentle...! I would say I'm a laid back guy who loves life's simple pleasures such as music, good food, seeing the world, being around friends and nature and most of all, laughing until I cry. I honestly think laughter is the best thing we have and I'm known for my good sense of humour. I'm the cheery sort who always looks for the positives in life but at the same time, I know when to be serious and am a good listener, caring and genuinely compassionate about people.... I hate to see anyone upset and once I am close to someone, be it as a friend or a partner, I will do anything for them.
I may not look it, but I am a real softy and old fashioned romantic - I love walks in the countryside/along the seafront and I am a big hugger!
I am very generous and affectionate but if you would consider yourself a "gold-digger" or "attention-seeker", we're not for each other :) I also have a bit of an aversion to woman who are quick-tempered/argumentative, though I appreciate we all have our bad days. I would prefer someone who is down to earth and grounded over someone arrogant anyday.

Anything else, ask away really :) I'm a friendly and approachable guy and well aware of the stigma of internet dating and the nerves/apprehensions people might have but you never know until you try! Give me a click and let's see how it goes.

Currently I'm in the process of making a career change so am back at University studying hard (no, really). I've never been happier and pleased to be working towards something I've always been passionate about.

I am also (re)learning Spanish in my spare time, I got quite good at it when I was in my teens as I used to go to the Canaries every year with the fam but I've neglected this in recent years. My English could do with a bit of work too, tbh.

Oh and I can do that thing where you lean back and blow a Malteaser up in the air really well, been meaning to contact the Guinness Book of World Records in fact.

That I'm always cheery. I have that ability to recall something from ages ago and still laugh about it to myself (which can look strange at the wrong times, admittedly).

Sorry, I'm gonna be really really boring here and keep it brief but I'm really not fussy, I can happily watch most things from horror to rom-coms although I would say my favourite TV would have to be comedy (The usual list of films, you name 'em and I'll roll off the quotes). Don't really follow any sitcoms as such but like factual/documentaries. Music I like a lot of stuff (especially 80's and disco) but none of that headache stuff without words. Books, well not read a good novel in a while but I do a lot of non-fictitious reading at the mo(mainly geeky stuff from my course which I won't bore you with) and food wise, Italian, Mexican and Indian go down well with this chap.... nomnomnomnomnom

The internet. How did we cope before exactly?

iPhone. Just got my first one, we're still very much in the "honeymoon phase"

Shower gel - hygiene is important!

Aftershave - I'm very proud of mine and I'm always being commented on it!

Passport - I love to travel but haven't gone to nearly enough places I'd like to, yet.

Erm..... oxygen?

Those annoying little things in life that no one can answer like why do you never see baby pigeons, why doesn't Tarzan have a beard, when the first ever dictionary was written, where did they get the words from, why do kamikaze pilots wear helmets etc etc etc....

Chilling with friends. The sort of "chilling" that makes me read my online statement Monday morning and weep.

Failing that, I may just stay in and plot world domination.

I hate having my photo taken and if I look like a bit of a poser in my profile pics, I'm really not!

You're an old fashioned girl who is ladylike (ie not a chav), affectionate, caring, a bit wacky, been known to cry at the end of films, loves cuddles and gets scared by insects still and you would like to meet a genuine, decent guy who will treat you well.

(Blimey, I don't half put some pressure on myself...) ;)
