My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'd like to find someone to go out and do awesome stuff with like checking out museums, seeing shows, going to garage sales and eating delicious, delicious brunch.

Some important things about me are my interests. I am into comic books, video games, and science fiction movies. Oh, also robots. Robots are the best. I am a progressive, bleeding-heart liberal, and am open-minded. I am a cat person, and can be easily distracted by adorable pictures of kittens. If you own a cat, this can be a great way to get me to forget any quarrel.

I am amusing, outspoken, and geeky
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm looking to start a career in writing, especially comic books and short stories for YA readers. I'm also interested in writing for video games, especially in merging storytelling and game mechanics. I'm currently working in an office and writing in my free time, of which there never seems to be enough.

At school I majored in Sociology, and I plan to eventually go back for a masters in Social Work, but probably not soon. In the meantime I enjoy my independent study.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making people laugh, talking about anything, remembering random trivia and playing games (board games and video games, that is.) I also design my own cross-stitch and sewing patterns.
The first things people usually notice about me

That I'm always smiling. I also currently have very long hair. They might also notice that I'm bouncing around excitedly debating something with a friend.

Ooh, favorite things, I like this part:

I love to read comic books, when I can afford the addiction! especially Avengers, Birds of Prey, Runaways, and Marvel Adventures. I'm currently loving Saga but am a couple of trades behind.

I play far fewer video games than previously, although I'm getting back in the swing of things! I have an Xbox 360, which is my little friend. Right now I'm playing through Dragon Age 2 after finishing Inquisition (who said you have to play games in order?) I'm utterly enamored of the series now and, if you let me, I will ramble on about it for hours. Some favorite games are Fallout 3, Animal Crossing, and Katamari Damacy. I can barely contain my excitement for Fallout 4!

My favorite writers are Toni Morrison, Madeline L'Engle, and Terry Pratchett. The book I always reccomend to everyone is "Good Omens" by Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. I also read (and write) a lot of children's literature, especially historical fiction.

My favorite movie is "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World" and I also love "It's a Wonderful Life". My favorite more recent movie is "Wall-E."

For favorite television shows: I currently don't have cable, so I couldn't watch even if I wanted to! Streaming shows on the internet is lovely though, and Netflix is good for older shows & Anime. I'm currently watching Death Note, Transformers Prime, X-files, and Star Trek on it. (I finished DS9 and am working my way through Voyager now)

As for music: I listen to 8tracks and Pandora radio at work, and I've found that it expands my musical choices while also making me get sick of the songs I used to love! my favorite band is Electric Light Orchestra, but I'm currently on a pop/rock kick. I really don't consider musical choices much when I look at other people's profiles, so I'm not sure what people are looking for here!

My favorite foods are homemade chicken soup, pancakes, cheese, kettle corn, nectarines, pumpkin bread, corn dogs, carrot juice, chestnuts, and delicious delicious pie.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Breakfast, my computer, kittens, the snooze button, my IPhone, & crossword puzzles.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Fantastic flights of fancy, fictional universes, friends that are far away, fandom, feminism, family, favorite faces, fallacies of logic, futurism, fiction...

Other things that might or might not start with F
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out with my friends, talking, eating, and playing games. Or I might be staying up late messing around on the internet. Or I might be out with coworkers or at a Broadway show. Or I could be meeting you for dinner and an adventure in the city. Who knows?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My cat is famous on tumblr.

I'll add here (since it doesn't fit anywhere else) that I'm a "Cashew" (I'm both Catholic and Jewish) which is not exactly "private" nor is religion at all important to me in finding a partner, but since it is important to some and OKCupid won't let me select both as an option, I'm putting it here. (And yes, before you ask, that does mean I get double the holidays)
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You share my interests and are interested in a cute geeky girl.

Also, if you enjoy video games and comics, and talking about just about anything. If you want someone who has opinions on just about everything, from the most trivial to matters of philosophy or politics. If you want to just be lazy all day, or go on a wild adventure through the city. If your idea of "going shopping" involves mostly toy stores and dollar stores. If you enjoy finding treasures at an estate sale. If you like telling stories, or just hearing them, and if you like imagination.

If you want to message me, but can't think of what to say, consider answering one of these questions:
-If you were a superhero, what would your powers be?
-If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, which would you choose?
-Which video game world would you most like to live in?
-What is the best robot?
