My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'd like to find someone to go out and do awesome stuff with like checking out museums, seeing shows, going to garage sales and eating delicious, delicious brunch.

Some important things about me are my interests. I am a total girl-geek, and am into comic books, video games, and science fiction movies. I am a progressive, bleeding-heart liberal, and am open-minded. I am a cat person, and can be easily distracted by adorable pictures of kittens. If you own a cat, this can be a great way to get me to forget any quarrel.

I do tend to "fall off" the internet every once and a while, so if I don't respond to emails right away I might just not be around.
I am amusing, outspoken, and geeky
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm looking to start a career in writing, especially comic books. I'm currently working in an office and writing in my free time, of which there never seems to be enough.

At school I majored in Sociology, and I plan to eventually go back for a masters in Social Work, but probably not soon. In the meantime I enjoy my independent study.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making people laugh, talking about anything, remembering random trivia and playing games (board games and video games, that is.)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I'm always smiling. I also currently have very long hair. They might also notice that I'm bouncing around excitedly debating something with a friend.

Ooh, favorite things, I like this part:

I love to read comic books, when I can afford the addiction! especially Avengers, Birds of Prey, Runaways, and Marvel Adventures.

I play far fewer video games than previously, although I'm getting back in the swing of things! I have an Xbox 360, which is my little friend. Right now I'm playing through Dragon Age 2 after finishing Inquisition (who said you have to play games in order?) I'm utterly enamored of the series now and, if you let me, I will ramble on about it for hours. Some favorite games are Fallout 3, Animal Crossing, and Katamari Damacy.

Some favorite writers are Toni Morrison, Madeline L'Engle, and Terry Pratchett. The book I always reccomend to everyone is "Good Omens" by Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. I also read (and write) a lot of children's literature, especially historical fiction.

My favorite movie is "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World" and i also love "It's a Wonderful Life". My favorite more recent movie is "Wall-E."

For favorite television shows: I currently don't have cable, so I couldn't watch even if I wanted to! Streaming shows on the internet is lovely though, and Netflix is good for older shows & Anime. I'm currently watching Death Note, Transformers Prime, and Star Trek on it.

As for music: I listen to Pandora radio at work, and I've found that it expands my musical choices while also making me get sick of the songs I used to love! my favorite band is Electric Light Orchestra, but I'm currently on an alternative kick. I really don't consider musical choices much when I look at other people's profiles, so I'm not sure what people are looking for here!

My favorite foods are homemade chicken soup, pancakes, kettle corn, nectarines, pumpkin bread, corn dogs, carrot juice, chestnuts, and delicious delicious pie.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Breakfast, my computer, kittens, the snooze button, my Nintendo DS, & crossword puzzles.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Usually stories I'm writing. Also comic book ideas, or just comics in general. I also think a lot about politics and philosophy, and coming up with useful debate arguments in my head.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out with my friends, talking, eating, and playing games. Or I might be staying up late messing around on the internet.

I don't drink at all, so you'll never find me hanging around the bars and that scene. I'm more the one avoiding all the drunks and making incredibly witty jokes at their expense which, sadly, none of them will remember the next night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My room is really very messy. It's a problem of too much stuff and not nearly enough space. Every so often I get the cleaning bug and donate a ton of clothes, old books, and tchotchkes to charity, but somehow "stuff" keeps accumulating.

You share my interests and are interested in a cute geeky girl.

Also, if you enjoy video games and comics, and talking about just about anything. If you want someone who has opinions on just about everything, from the most trivial to matters of philosophy or politics. If you want to just be lazy all day, or go on a wild adventure through the city. If your idea of "going shopping" involves mostly toy stores and dollar stores. If you enjoy finding treasures at an estate sale. If you like telling stories, or just hearing them, and if you like imagination.
