My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a somewhat nerdy/geeky PC gamer and internet dweller. I spend a lot of my time aimlessly researching various subjects, reading, writing, etc. I made this account just to make myself a little bit visible, as I don't do bars or clubs and the like, and have no interest in those who do frequent such places. Other than online, there are really no social venues in my area for people like myself, so the most obvious conclusion was to compensate with online visibility.

My name is Cole, and I've lived on the Saanich Peninsula of Vancouver Island my entire life. My heritage is mostly Scottish, a good chunk of English, and the remainder being Celtic. Most of my time is spent at home in my little nest, on my computer. Gaming has been a major hobby of mine since I can remember, so naturally I would be interested in meeting those with similar interests.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
At the moment I'm working full time at the Ministry of Agriculture in Victoria as security and reception, and the quiet, low traffic nature of such a place allows me to spend a large portion of my time on a computer, researching, writing, and lurking about the web.

My short term goals are to get an elliptical machine and go from being in average shape to getting in good shape, then I will see to it that I eat better and stay fit. Very soon I'll be finding my way into a new career/job, possibly as management, then after that my long term goal would be to work up to having my own business of some sort.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Strategizing, finding solutions, logic, etc, and of course internet/computer shenanigans.
I've been a gamer all of my life, so that should be included here, despite the lack of appeal that often accompanies that phrase.

There's no trade skills that I'm an expert in, but I do occasionally play around with blacksmithing. Mostly my time and skills are spent on the computer.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Entirely depends on the person noticing me, or what I'm wearing at the time. The typical response to this question is "my eyes", which far from surprisingly I'm also going to say as well. Sometimes it's my orange aviators, sometimes it's my overly-fancy suit jacket, and sometimes it's my shoes - it really does vary.

Games: Regarding consoles, I played on them in my youth, from the original Game Boy, Sega Genesis, and Nintendo, up until the GameCube and Xbox. I never got invested much into any of the Playstations, and after the GameCube, the appeal of consoles quickly dropped. I'm strictly a PC gamer now, and have been for a long time. Currently, my primary game is Wildstar, which I won't rant on about, but I will say it's incredible. I've played many PC games such as Baldur's Gate, Diablo, Starcraft, and before I got into WoW I dabbled with things like FlyFF, Ragnarok, RoseOnline, and so on. I played WoW from vanilla to MoP, with breaks in-between, some of which were months long after WotLK. I finally, permanently broke free from the decrepit tendrils of WoW during MoP, and rode the wave of failed MMOs up until Wildstar, which finally gave the people what they craved and more. I'll end this rant now, before it turns into a novel.

Books:
I've never had much time for reading physical books, though I do read online excessively. If I had to choose, maybe ASoFaI, which I've begun reading after much delay, and possibly Plato's "The Republic". The list is short for books, but as I get my hands on more free time, I'll get through some more.

Movies:
Back to the Future, LotR, Star Wars, The Truman Show, Gladiator... I'll fill this list up soon.

Shows:
Game of Thrones, Adventure Time, Doctor Who, Lost, Futurama, Heroes, Breaking Bad, House of Cards, Arrested Development, Cosmos, Sherlock, and I'll fill this up more when I can.

Music:
Mostly things from a generation or two ago, but not all so. I don't have specific bands where I like all of their songs, it's mostly bits and pieces from everywhere. NO rap, and NO loud, crashy screamo. Some things like Queen, Guns 'n' Roses, Mumford and Sons, The Rolling Stones, and mostly stray songs from various bands.

Food:
Mostly anything, unless it's horribly slimy, fatty, or just plain wrong to eat. I don't eat like a king or anything at the moment. I'm mostly just creating things from whatever the fridge holds that day. Foods on the mind right now include sushi, pizza, burgers, sweet potato fries with chipotle mayo, stir fry, caesar salad, bag of croutons on their own because why not..
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
How about six things I would prefer not part with:
1: Internet, all and any.
2: My glorious beast of a computer.
3: A shower in the morning. Just feels wrong not to.
4: My extremely laid back job.
5: A calm and quiet nest of a bedroom and home.
6: Ran out of obvious things, so how about my fingers.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend a lot of time thinking in general. I usually have some sort of scenario playing out in the peripheral of my focus, and solutions or reactions being mapped out. I often strategize how I might respond to things that may be heading my way. I prefer thought over scrolling around on my phone while idling or waiting for things.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually at home on the computer, blowing my time on things such as Wildstar or just scampering about the internet.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
•I have an additional very small vestigial hole in each ear, but it's nothing significant.
•I have an extra vertebrae, thanks to my mother's genetics. - No harm comes from it.
•My teeth are not so perfectly aligned, but that's something I aim to resolve ASAP.
