My self-summary
Well, the biggest factor about me is my love of music. I am a metalhead, but not stereotypically so. I love going to concerts, and I attend as many as my budget and the selection allows. I enjoy most genres of music, and chances are I like a good percentage what you like, in addition to a bunch of other stuff. I'm an INTP, make of that what you will. I'm one of those guys who's quiet in crowds but truly at home around my friends. I'm semi-social, to the point where I won't be struck with paralysis at a bar, but the vapidity of most people is off-putting. I intend never to stop learning. I love having conversations with people about something we're both passionate about till the wee hours; there's always something to be gained. I like most things that are off the beaten path. I love to kick back with a (GOOD)beer with awesome people.

I am unconventional, intelligent enough, and laid back
What I’m doing with my life
Working, chipping away at GE units slowly but surely.
I’m really good at
having a good time anywhere, finding awesome things in the day-to-day, playing bass...I can't really think of all my talents, this'll suffice.
The first things people usually notice about me
I suppose people notice my blue eyes and sense of humor. I get along with most people really easily. I get "that guy's cool" said to my friends a lot, but they never seem to remember my name. Hmm... I'm sure people notice my use of vocabulary. I tend to use big words in a vernacular sense, e.g.: "Dude, that's transcendent!"
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Tolkien (no, I'm not a bandwagon fan, I'm a true Tolkien nerd), Dune, Moby Dick, Ayn Rand, Iliad/Odyssey, most philosophy books that aren't crazy...pretty much everything epic.
Movies: I loved Dark Knight, I like The Big Lebowski, Boondock Saints, SLC Punk, 300...I could keep going for a while. I like a TON of movies.
Music: Metal, Classical (pretty much all of it, but I love me some contemporary), Jazz (especially live), Classic Rock, Post-rock, some Indie, some Punk (much better live, again). Pretty much NOT country, pop, unintelligent hip-hop, emo, screamo, or hardcore/metalcore (because it takes the ideas of metal and regurgitates them until there's nothing defining about it.) I like any music that's different from anything else being done.
Food: Indian, Thai, Pho, Mediterranean, Sushi, Chinese, Italian and good-ol' American. I don't really have a "favorite" food, but I do get moods.
The six things I could never do without
Well, I've had periods in my life when I've had next to nothing, and I've found that beyond food, clothing, shelter, one needs a group of truly supportive friends, which I have been blessed with. I also need a creative outlet, be it music, an empty notebook (I need to write far more often), food, or something where I can create. I need the recognization of my own worth, because accomplishment is nigh impossible without it. I need music to listen to, talk about, see, or create. My cell phone, but only because without it there's really not much of a way to contact me unless I'm at home.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Music, "deep stuff" (philosophy, politics, religion, etc.)
On a typical Friday night I am
Either going to a show if there is one, hanging out with some friends kicking back, or on occasion I will go to parties. The last two generally both end with talking about pretty much anything for hours on end, but the difference is the amount of inebriation.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
We'll save the potential embarassment or awkwardness for later. Because honestly, isn't that the only reason people keep things private in the first place? However, if asked about something, I'll almost always answer, no matter how private the subject matter, if only just out of respect for someone having the chutzpah to ask a personal question.
