My self-summary
I love smiling. Smiling's my favorite. I've been told I'm "boisterous," which I definitely take as a compliment. A good sense of humor and good grammar make my knees weak and my tummy do that elevator-jump-thing, but in the best way. And yes, I was just too lazy to come up with a clever username. If only my last name ended with "tron," I'd feel like a Transformer. I too like to think I'm more than meets the eye.
What I’m doing with my life
I've spent the last five years organizing recreational programs for children with disabilities. While it's extremely fulfilling, I'd like to pursue an acting career in the (hopefully) near future. After all, I would like to use that degree some day. Okay, fine...I really just need to pay off those student loans.
I’m really good at
-Organization (for both business and pleasure)
-Recalling useless trivia about movies, television and music. (I can learn nothing new, as my gray matter is at capacity with such information. Suffice to say I would've owned in the VH1 World Series of Pop Culture.)
The first things people usually notice about me
Hips, maybe? (It might sound tawdry, but it's a likely answer.) And height. I'm kind of tall for a chick. Oh, and maybe tattoos. I really don't know.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
BOOKS: Stieg Larsson's MILLENNIUM/"DRAGON TATTOO" trilogy, short horror stories, currently reading SLAUGHTERHOUSE FIVE

MOVIES: I'm in love with movies. I'd love to make them one day. While horror is my favorite genre, some other favorites include ARTHUR (the original), HOUSE (1984 horror, not the series), REALITY BITES, anything involving Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (including the show "Spaced") and NATIONAL LAMPOON'S CHRISTMAS VACATION. And while we're on the topic of Christmas movies, I will maintain until my dying day that The MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL is one of the greatest films ever made.

SHOWS: Boardwalk Empire, 30Rock, Modern Family, The Big Bang Theory, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Arrested Development, Legit, and Breaking Bad (to which I was JUST introduced)

MUSIC: While I was raised on 50s and 60s music, I also listen to everything from Pearl Jam to Public Enemy. And it's probably not surprising, but I firmly believe that "John Denver and the Muppets: A Christmas Together" is one of the greatest albums ever made.

FOOD: I consider cheese to be a food group unto itself. Also, I <3 Bacon. In fact, I find the peanut butter, banana and bacon sandwich to be a delicacy. Elvis didn't just have great taste in music.
The six things I could never do without
1. Movies (preferably with popcorn, layered butter)
2. Spontaneity (e.g., the occasional tattoo or piercing)
3. Human contact
4. My ipod/music collection
5. My best friend and heterosexual life partner
6. Independence
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How much I'm determined to do roller derby one day. (Time's a-tickin' on that one.) How much I'd enjoy being musically talented. How much I need to get my "driving" glasses replaced with, preferably, even thicker-rimmed ones. Also, I often ponder what it would be like to throw a dart at a map and just go there on a whim.
On a typical Friday night I am
Listening to music, watching a movie, or both. In the event of a stressful week, I'll most likely be spending the entire evening with the various "OnDemand" movies/shows now offered by my television provider. "Wait, wait, wait...I can watch them ANY time I want? Like, ANY time??...Yes. Please. More of that."
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I consider my clean Converse to be "dress shoes." (Note: I wear a women's size 12/men's 10.5. So, yeah...suck on that.) I wish I could cook, but alas I cannot. I also, for some strange reason, have always wanted to be named Jake. (This is why my hypothetical derby name would be "Jake Kill'emAll"... because derby girls ONLY call each other by their derby names...so all the derby girls would call me "Jake.") Also, I often have "conversations" with older rap songs in the car. "Tell me, Ice Cube, CAN I do it if I put my back into it?"
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 25–35
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating
You should message me if
You dig a girl with several tattoos, who lives in jeans, only owns one dress and is quite "thick" for lack of a better term. (I hear guys use that a lot, so hopefully you get the gist. I'll put it this way...Unlike Fonda, I DO have a motor in the back of my Honda.) And please, by all means, message me if you bear any resemblance in appearance or demeanor to Matthew Gray Gubler or Powder, or if you have the fashion sense of Jordan Catalona, Scott Weiland, or Trent from "Daria." It's also promising if you too have a crush on Janeane Garofalo...or Liz Lemon.
