My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi, I'm a person and I do things. I'm an artist, a thinker, not a cool-aid drinker. Summaries are silly. I'm a human and I would fit poorly in a paragraph. I don't take this website very seriously. I have a girlfriend because I'm very lucky. :)

Haha wow I just realized how much effort goes into the rest of my profile. Please disregard my earnestness, this page is old as heck.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm almost done with my art degree. I am a nerd who makes nerd things, like comics and video games and cartoons. And it's awesome.

Also, I garden a lot, in what limited space my apartment patio allows.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I draw pictures, it's what I do. I also write stories. I like pixel art and gifs.

I'm also a pretty good cook, I make homemade ice cream and sorbet in the summer.

I tend to be the last person on any given boat. Like, hey, have you heard of a movie called Fight Club? I just beat this game, it's called Earthbound. I'm not even doing it to be hip or nostalgic, I swear.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I really have no idea.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
(This section is long and outdated. Suffice to say I like to consume high quality media and food.)

I really like reading, a lot. Blah blah blah, hipster books, namedropping, Neitzsche, I actually really like Kafka and Vonnegut, Michael Crichton, The Song of Ice and Fire books, Max Brooks, The Speaker for the Dead series, Asimov. I tend to gravitate towards science fiction and surrealism. I'll get to more books this summer.

Comics get their own section. I like the Avengers, but only casually. I like some manga, like FMA or Deathnote. I read a lot of webcomics. Paranatural is cool, I just sank my teeth into Ava's Demon, which only takes maybe a half hour to read and I highly recommend. I am a homestuck, and I'm not sorry.

I like video games too, but I have some visual issues with 3d games. I like older games, Earthbound, Golden Sun, Harvest Moon, Disgaea, that sort of thing.

I watch a lot of movies, Film is part of my major. I have a new favorite film every week. My long term favorite movies are Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Fight Club and Jurassic Park (yes the whole trilogy, yes the best drinking game ever). 500 Days of Summer, Where the Wild Things Are, more hipster movie blah blah blah stuff. I like Wes Anderson films. I love the Pixar films and cry sometimes because of really good animation. It just makes me so happy.

I like Supernatural. They fight ghosts and it's great. Dexter, Breaking Bad, those kind of shows. Louie, My Name is Earl, smart comedies. I liked House until it was over, I watched the last episode. I watched Lost, but that new one about the power going out, not so much. I watch Adventure Time, Gravity Falls, FMA, and a whole slew of children's shows. I feel meh the Game of Thrones TV show, it's too visually monochrome for me to stay interested.

I like a wide variety of white-bread indie rock or pseudo-electronic pop that's unobtrusive, to listen to while I work or commute. I like The Mountain Goats, Arcade Fire, Spoon, The Killers, Annuals, you know the drill. Also stuff like Fun., Imagine Dragons or Passion Pit. I also like The Beatles, The Smiths (THEY ALL LIKE THE SMITHS), Nirvana, self-indulgent 90's alternative rock, ect. I like going to live shows when I have the free time. If there's a great band I should listen to, let me know. Recently I've been unapologetically enjoying Lana Del Rey, and Lindsey Stirling.

I like food. Like, more than in the sense of "I prefer not to die, so I should probably eat," I actually enjoy eating and cooking. I have no eating restrictions and like trying new things. I'm a big fan of Japanese home style cooking or Korean bbq. I am always down for bibimbap. I have a terrible sweet tooth. I unironically eat gushers. There's this vegetarian restaurant near where I live called 'Follow Your Heart' that has the best spanakopita ever.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I'm pretty attached to having food, water and shelter, but I'll assume I'm supposed to be addressing things at the top of Maslow's Hierarchy.

I am rather fond of my laptop. Internet and I are friends, as are Photoshop and I and sometimes Flash but usually we just fight a lot.

My phone. No, I'm not one of those people constantly checking it, but it is how I navigate, keep my schedule and google things on demand.

I'm need my music when I drive, or I will go slowly crazy in traffic.

Caffeine is the only way I'm ever going to graduate.

A knife. I mean, assuming I'm stranded on a deserted island or something, I could hypothetically get pretty far with just a good knife.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I think Time Travel is mega friggen cool.

I also tend to worry a lot. whelp.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I abbreviate the word 'pretty' to 'p', as in 'p much'. I also say 'totes' un-ironically.

Wow, you got all the way to the bottom of the page! I'm impressed. You should message me if you think we have stuff in common. Please don't message me if we don't have stuff in common. Or you know, do whatever you want.

Right now I'm happy to have friends who mean a lot to me and date around casually. When I meet somebody I have really intense chemistry with I'll seal the deal. I'm also poly, so that's a thing that is :T
