My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Sassy, quirky, adventuresome and inquisitive.

taking pictures (digital and 45 mil). I take pics for work and enjoy it, but I'm no expert. I haven't developed film in ages, but would love to get back in the dark room. As for digital, I have a D5100, for all you photography geeks.

I'm definitely a water person. I was on the swim team growing up and I enjoy wakeboarding and tubing at the lake. My mom has a jetski and I've spent many summers stirring up the water. Has anyone tried kite boarding?

I've lived in the city for the last several years, but one of the things I miss most about living away from the bustle are bonfires.

I enjoy dying my hair different colors. Tattoos are too permanent for me and I like playing with my look. Plus, mixing hair dye kind of makes me feel like a mad scientist.

I'll never be too old for star gazing. The top two night skies: one was in the middle of desert on my way to Utah. You could see nebulas! The other was in the Dominican Republic out on the water. The line between ocean and sky disappeared and the water reflected the stars which made me feel like I was floating in the constellations.

I used to have an apartment with roof access. I loved spending an evening with hookah and a sunset on that roof.

I enjoy camping, especially if there's some climbing attached to it. I'm really curious about trad climbing. If anyone does, get at me! I'd love to learn.

graphic, industrial and architectural design. Zaha Hadid and Antoni Gaudi are inspirations for me, though I visited the Robie house and now I might have drank the Wright Cool-aid.

-reading up on gender studies and sexual minorities. The book Ethical Slut shook up my world and I love Sex Nerd Sandra. Any Naughty Monkies out there?

-Road trips and National parks. I've been to Joshua Tree (doctor Suess Trees everywhere!), the Red River Gorge, Zion (angel's landing was too cool of a hike) and the New (I want to make a habit of going to homoclimbtastic). Traveling in and out of the country is time well spent and if it's a climbing destination, it's a bonus.

-bubble baths. Currently I don't have a tub, but my old place had a claw foot one, and after a rough day, a bubble bath was amazing medicine.

-a good glass of pinot noir, a Syrah or really any full-ish bodied, tannin filled red. I enjoy trying new drinks, but usually don't drink more than a glass or two. I'm not into the bar scene nor getting drunk every weekend.

-art museums and galleries. I'm not a huge mush in passing, but seeing a painting that can take your breath away or bring tears to your eyes is magical.

-working in the woodshop. Power tools are in powering and I love working with my hands. I have limited welding experience (tig and spot), but I've but I'm quite confident with wood. Also, I've started black smithing and I'm stoked.

-rock climbing (top roping and sport lead climbing). Would love to meet a climbing buddy at Mesa Rim!

-skiing in the winter. I can't get into cross country skiing, but I love alpine skiing and I've been wanting to try out snowboarding. One of these days! If anyone wants to split gas to go to Big Bear, I'm down!

-movie marathons. As much as I like adventure, sometimes it's really awesome to be a homebody. I'm a big fan of Netflix and cuddling in bed.

-motorcycle rides. I have my endorsement! Did the whole abate riding course thing, but unfortunately my bike is in the Midwest.

-I love dancing, though it usually takes a little liquid courage to get me on the dance floor.

-art projects. Wood, clay/sculpture, painting, drawing, welding, mosaic work (I do A LOT of mosaic work for Hubbell & Hubbell), stainglass work... pretty much anything with my hands, though architecture school has widened my spectrum and I do more and more design work with programs like rhino. I haven't done glass blowing and I'm dying to, so hook me up anyone out there that's reading this and blows glass.

-hanging with my friends. I have some really solid friends. They're more like family.

-trying new things.

-I love making new friends, so don't be shy. I believe poly and monogamy are both valid ways to live. My guy supports me with other partners, but right now, but I'm happy it's just me and my boyfriend. We're actually doing the long distance thing. He's in Ohio and I'm here in Cali.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have been a commission artist, photographer and architecture intern. Every other semester I'm a full time architecture student at the University of Cincinnati. DAAPer! During those times, I basically live in studio, but almost everyday when I'm in there I feel like I am playing, so I think that's a good sign. In the beginning of January, I moved to San Diego, so I'm new here, to work for another firm, for the next 4 months for an Architecture co-op, but I'll be back to the Midwest for Summer classes. In the mean time, I'm pumped to make friends with some cool Californians!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
drawing, making my friends laugh, procrastinating and shower singing.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes or my curious nature.

Right now I'm reading A Wolf at the Table, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, Julia Child's memoir, and Things I Overheard While Talking to Myself.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-my friends. They're the best.
-travel. I need to get out, do and see things.
-my bose headphones. They keep me sane in studio or at work.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My future, problem solving/inventing, my next adventure, questioning societal norms. Sometimes I have a gutter brain. Nothing is wrong with a bit of a dirty mind, right?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
iceskating down town, climbing , a movie night with the girls, or a spontaneous road trip. I try to stay out of studio on Friday nights, but sometimes it's necessary.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have my nips pierced, 12 gauge.
