My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a nerd/writer trying to find my voice in the industry and get something published.

Telling stories and exploring worlds that don't exist has been with me since I was a kid, only now I'm trying to turn it into a profitable venture.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now I'm trying to focus harder on my mewling writing career, and slowly working off my Gen Ed courses at college. If that ends up taking longer than I can handle, then I'm going to get a degree and become a professor.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I like to think I'm pretty good at writing, I have been told by multiple people my dialogue is very Joss Whedonesque.

Relationship wise, I'm very open minded and understanding, and I think communication is of the utmost importance.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I am ridiculously tall.

Also, I have long hair. It has been described as viking-like in nature.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books - Mostly fantasy series. I can have entire conversations using only examples from A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin. I'm also a huge fan of Patrick Rothfuss and his Kingkiller Chronicle. Recently, Brandon Sanderson has been added to the list due to Mistborn being amazing.

Movies - Tangled (yes, that Tangled), Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Lost in Translation, Sherlock Holmes, and the Marvel films to name a few of my favorites.

Shows - 30 Rock, Battlestar Galactica, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Community, Dollhouse, Mythbusters, Scrubs, Sports Night, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, the West Wing. Joss Whedon and Aaron Sorkin pretty much define this category.

Music - My tastes range through an eccentric spectrum. I like pretty much anything that isn't Rap or Country as a rule, but then a little bit of both anyway.

I don't really think too much of my tastes in anything else. I like some anime, just like I like some movies. Since there isn't a place here for comedians, I'm just going to put it out there: Patton Oswalt is a personal hero.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Internet
2. Word Processors
3. Webcomics
4. Books
6. Political discourse
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Ancient Rome, and its similarity to America today. TvTropes. The secret to writing a good book. Human psychology. Building characters in Mutants and Masterminds. My new-found obsession with quoting the Joss Whedon 2012 movie cycle (Cabin in the Woods, The Avengers). How I ever wrote before Scrivener... my life is a beautiful cork board now.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I don't have a typical Friday night. I hang with friends when they are available (with work schedules what they are). As for the social activities, I enjoy doing geeky things at home just as much as miniature golf, hitting a bar, or just trying to find something awesome to do.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a hard time believing too strongly in anything. A good belief is devoted, yet thoughtful, explored and tested and tried. Beliefs in transitory things and vague concepts sound nice, but to me, they're ultimately hollow.

Also, a confession for you writers out there. My writing time is about 15% productivity and 85% filling out character dossiers. Character dossiers, and little index cards about countries. And designing those fictional countries' flags... and maps. Did I mention I'm a fantasy writer?

If you are creative type. I love talking shop.
