My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Im originally from Northern California, went to graduate school in Central California, and moved to Portland, OR once I had the chance. Previous to that, I had tutored in writing, a passion second only to dancing and/or making connections with people.
With some successes in publishing some pieces, and writing on my own, I've moved onto other projects. That being said, I'm keen on airports and aquariums and I love to travel.

I tend to listen and respond, truly the therapist in me, but be wary; I enjoy a good challenge. I fucking love science.

I'm drawn to optimism, humor, ambition, and curiosity; however I can get along with a wide range of personalities. The people that really hold my attention are ones that don't mind getting to the point in an instant, that have lots of energy, whose curiosity is insatiable, and those quick to laughter. I'm not all too different, and I don't ask for much, just that you be awesome and open-minded and I'll return the favor. Deal? Deal.

Hemingway said it best: "Try to learn to breathe deeply, really to taste food when you eat, and when you sleep really to sleep. Try as much as possible to be wholly alive with all your might, and when you laugh, laugh like hell. And when you get angry, get good and angry. Try to be alive. You will be dead soon enough.”
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I get really into my hobbies, I also enjoy picking them up, setting them down; any and all prepositional expressions involving hobbies. Would you like to teach me piano? And I can teach you swing dancing? We can both teach each other the things we're keen on. Doesn't that sound swell?

I enjoy swimming, hiking, rock climbing, weight lifting, crocheting, reading, writing, swing/blues dancing, bowling, and traveling.

Professionally, I have a Masters in Counseling (marriage and family therapy) and am employed at mental health clinic as a therapist. I like to think it gives me a reason to wear suits to work.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Quoting the Simpson's;
Card games;
Dancing;
Fixing your bicycle;
Cooking
...
....
Math.

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Conundrums. Rube Goldberg. Existential crises. Schrodinger's Cat.
Retirement plans and travel destinations.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Playing detective, mostly this entails trying to return people's lost goods that I find. This happens on a weekly basis. Here's proof: http://tanyatomkins.com/2014/02/11/when-its-not-what-you-think/
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The first time I ate canned pineapples (4 months ago), it blew my mind. Later that month I tried a fresh pineapple for the first time and my life has never been the same.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You should message me if you have some charm to you. If you can make me laugh (which isn't too hard), and can laugh with me (a bit tricky), that'll bode well for the both of us. If you travel, and if you love brunch, or if you're a riddle wrapped in an enigma wrapped in a vest.

If you know what you want.
If you understand and appreciate process over product.

Nerds need apply.
