Like many people of my generation, I have spent a great deal of time overseas and have been shaped by those experiences. I lived in South Korea for a year and a half where, after 18 months of grad school and being very "grown up", I revived my youthfulness and adventure spirit. I followed that with backpacking through Peru and Ecuador where I learned some of what I am capable of enduring and enjoying. I returned to Portland last summer and am working on building my nest, though I already have the travel bug and don't think I'll ever lose it!
It's very important to me that I continue to have a sense of adventure in my life, whether it's trying new things, doing something wildly entertaining, pushing my fears, immersing myself in the great outdoors, or climbing rocks. Ideally, I would find a partner who shares this zest for adventure and life. If you find that you are uptight, shy, unadventurous, don't laugh much, or would be totally opposed to the idea of running through nature naked, you need not read further.
