Simulacrum Adorare

My life--fitter happier more productive, not drinking too much, regular exercise three times a week, and also the exact opposite. I am a somewhat off kilter balance of left-brain/right-brain, A-type/B-type. By habit, I am a night-owl, and it takes something special (skiing or killer coffee) to get me up in the morning.

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I ask myself that quite frequently and hope that I will never stop asking. I've just finished up law school at NYU and am working for the New York City Law Department.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
readin' & writing, and
tellin' it like it is.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Sometimes people think I look like John Lennon, but it varies with how shaggy I am and how round my glasses are.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I love books, mostly fiction, and believe them to be of such importance that, with the cross-reference to their music collection, one can get a peek into the soul. In that spirit, I offer some of my favorite authors: David Eggers, David Foster Wallace, Hunter S. Thomson, Ann Dillard, Cormic Mcarthy, and then some of my favorite bands/musicians: Andrew Bird, The Byrds, CCR, Built to Spill, Nick Drake, Thievery Corporation, Band of Horses, BRMC, Fiona Apple, Yo la Tengo, Outkast, Blackalicious, Radiohead.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Friends - the best way to expand your family,
Coffee - one of life's finest pleasure,
Books - more than one lifetime's experience,
Beer, and
something I hope to find.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
These days Friday is usually low-key, recover-from-the-week day, so a game of pool, a movie or some reading.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
I am looking for someone to expand my horizons at the same time that I expand theirs, through humor, play (both physical and metaphysical), and simple conversation. A perfect mix of personalities is hard to come by, but I hope to have fun and interesting conversations along the way!
