I'm Jon.

Self-summary doesn't sound like too much fun so I'll just give a couple of details, and you'll let me know if you like them.

My favorite expression to get from my dog is that weird half-cocked "confused/wtf are you up to" look. I think this says a lot about me as a person.

I will joke about anything. Be warned.

Many xkcd.com comics resonate with me on a deep emotional level. Many Perry Bible Fellowship comics resonate with me on a WTFlol level.

My friends kick ass and go back a long ways. I still regularly hang out with multiple kids from my preschool class.

Recently I worked at a counter-terrorism think tank where I got to say stuff like "I work at a counter-terrorism think tank" and read a lot of Pakistani newspapers. I knew I'd finally made it when a reporter from the New York Times asked me for a quote, but then I directed him to someone with the authority to actually give a quote to the NYT.

I'm about the slowest person to anger in the world. If you managed to piss me off, you almost deserve congratulations.

Games. I'm silly good at games. Gin, poker, trivia, board, video, mind, etc.

I used to be good at volleyball and golf, but now I just like to play when I get the chance.

I'm a little bit on the socially fearless side.

Movies: Raging Bull, The Matrix, Casablanca, Juno, There Will be Blood, Die Hard, Bill Murray, Heat, Wall-e, Up, etc.

Shows: Arrested Development, Community, The Wire, Always Sunny, Bored to Death, Curb, Lost Season 1-3, Firefly

How stuff works. I also am a huge fan of the "what if" game. I like to ask people to estimate the chance that "x" happens.

Going out for dinner and then finding some people to pal around with.

I have seen the entire first season of the O.C. (my freshman year of college roommate would just watch them all the time I didn't even want to watch them or anything but he would always have them playing in the background so it's not my fault or anything but then I got kind of invested in the characters and watched a couple of episodes secretly by myself and I liked them especially a couple in the middle like the one where the cuter girl dresses up as wonder woman but I thought it got weird at the end and I didn't like it anymore or watch any other seasons I swear and I kinda thought the biological son was kinda dreamy in a totally platonic way)

I just want a gal who's fun to hang out with. So be really fun. NO PRESSURE.
