My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a music loving, concert attending, lap swimming, whiskey drinking, down-to-earth, politically minded (no Republicans please), beach going, hard-working New York native, who's missing a great partner to share it all with. Passion, honesty, and a spunky personality are big turn ons. If you want to laugh and have a good time, check me out. I live in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn and work downtown near Wall Street.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a lawyer, please don't judge.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making meatballs. Over the years I have learned to make the perfect meatballs, with the right amount of seasoned bread crumbs, graded parmigiano reggiano, finely crushed red pepper and italian seasoning, only using the best ground round around. The right texture, size and cooked just enough. They are made with love and care and are restaurant-grade.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That's tough...I'm humble. Maybe you could tell me?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Music: The Beatles, The Beastie Boys, The Budos Band, Bob Bob Marley, Coldplay, Dave Matthews, David Bowie, David Byrne, The Grateful Dead, The Ryan Montbleau Band, Marco Benevento, The Heavy Pets, Jack Johnson, James Brown, Orgone, Johnny Cash, John Coltrane, Lettuce, Medeski Martin & Wood, Miles Davis, Girl Talk, The Band, My Morning Jacket, The New Mastersounds, Paul Simon, The Samples, Phish, Pink Floyd, Re-Birth Brass Band, The Roots, Soulive, Steel Pulse, to name a few.

Books: Way of the Peaceful Warrior, The Inner Game of Tennis, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, I am Charlotte Simmons, Duck Duck Wally, Philosphy and the Return to Self Knowledge, The Tender Bar, Murder Machine, Killing Pablo, Dark Alliance (I'm a fan of investigative journalism.) I just labored through The Fountainhead (a "gift" from my sister.) Good character development/depth and themes/ideas but I don't find it to be life changing (sorry Paul Ryan.)

Movies: I've been rewatching the Karate Kid a lot recently. I have decided that it is pure genius. John Avildsen's 1984 masterpiece, beautifully shot, it is simultaneously a period piece capturing an innocent look and feel of 1980's San Fernando Valley and a heart-warming, coming-of-age/underdog story of a young boy and his relationship with his mentor in the face of adversity. Ralph Macchio, Elisabeth Shue and Pat Morita as well as William Zabka and Martin Kove turn in wonderful perfomances. The well placed 80's songs from Survivor, Bananorama, Commuter and Joe Esposito interspersed between Bill Conti's instrumental score featuring heroic pan flute solos by Gheorge Zamfir make the soundtrack for this film awesome. Some other films I enjoy: Rules of Attaction, Godfather Part 1 and 2, Goodfellas, Casino (Mob movies are like comfort food for the eyes for me), Trainspotting, Shawshank Redemption, Rounders, Boogie Nights, Rocky II, Star Trek II, CaddyShack, 24 hour party people, Cocktail, Rudy, State of Grace, Point Break, Shindler's List, Pulp Fiction (most films by Tarantino really), The French Connection, Serpico and Saturday Night Fever.

Shows: Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Bill Maher, Boardwalk Empire, Man v. Food (Adam Richman was a fraternity brother of mine in college), Planet Earth, CBS Sunday Morning (Charles Osgood is the man), Meet the Press and 60 minutes.

Food: I'm always up for trying new places, and I enjoy a good meal. Some of my favorite cuisines: sushi/japanese, thai, italian, steak, spanish, mexican and seafood.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) Family/friends
2) Music
3) A pool (I swim laps almost every morning)
4) The sun
5) My law degree (without which I am in a lot of trouble)
6) Oxygen
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
