My self-summary
I enjoy long walks on the beach and getting caught in the rain.

Sorry couldn't resist. Getting caught in the rain? Who the hell likes that? Why is that even a thing?
What I’m doing with my life
I just graduated with a BFA in film from Cornish College of the Arts. By day I hawk pasta in Pike Place and by night I film local indie folk bands. You could say I'm living the hipster dream.
I’m really good at
I like to think that I'm good at playing music, being creative, and being a good time. But I value humility so you'll never hear me brag.
The first things people usually notice about me
The dad jokes. Puns and other forms of wordplay. If I ever have a teenage daughter, she's going to think I'm so embarrassing.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I don't read books much. But I love Dan Simmons' books The Terror and Drood. Apparently AMC is making The Terror into its own series so I'm pretty pumped!

Movies: The Fall, Scott Pilgrim, Thor, anything directed by Christopher Nolan, Rango, Inglorious Basterds, Yellow Submarine, The Dollars Trilogy, The 1960's Batman Movie, and Brad Neely's dub of the 1st Harry Potter movie titled "Wizard People, Dear Reader". The list goes on, as it does with most people.

Shows: Archer, Scrubs, Venture Bros, Firefly.

Music: Muddy Waters, Pretty Lights, The White Stripes, Bloc Party, anything with Cee Lo Green, Miles Davis, Slipknot, Bruce Springsteen, Doc Watson. I listen to everything. And when I mean everything, I mean anything from 80 year old country records to the newest Rihanna. I really don't discriminate when it comes to music.

Food: I cook a lot of weird flavored pastas that I get at work. My current favorites are sweet potato papardelle and red onion fettuccine. I wish I could cook thai food but that stuff is cooking on hard mode!
The six things I could never do without

No but in all seriousness:
Amy's frozen Spinach Pizza
My music
My friends
A guitar
A video camera
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think a lot about why a movie or song is working in how they're structured and how I can learn from it. And as dishonest as it sounds, I think a lot about my long term aspirations to keep myself focused on the track I've put myself on.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out or going out with my friends. Usually this entails the newest movie to hit theaters, a bar with some good danceable tunes, or just playing card games while a movie plays in the background.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I like puns. I tell them a lot. If you don't like them it might be punishing to hang out. Hang in there though. Sometimes I get a really good one. If it goes on for too long feel free to tell me to put a cork in it. But hey maybe you're corky like me and puns are your thing, in which case let em fly. And if they flu well, I guarantee I'll never get sick of them.
