I have degrees in communications and music performance (for
saxophone). I am a full on music geek, but I'm known to be kind of
dorky about most things. I love music so much, I can't go about my
days without it. I got into college for math, but programming every
night in a creepy lab turned me off to it and made me realize it
was not something that would get me to where I wanted to go. It was
only after college that I realized I wanted to learn code and took
classes/taught myself how to. Unfortunately, what I thought was my
dream marketing job at Ubisoft (yes I like video games too) ended
up being something I wasn't happy at. So now onto the next
adventure! I teach music lessons and a lot of group fitness classes
at various studios for now. I love every second of it. Dancing was
a major part of my life, but due to a severe injury on my first day
dancing with a company, I was forced to stop. I've been training in
ballet since I can remember and was able to teach for about two
years. I miss it every day! I also love love love working out and
even took a little time as a personal trainer. It's a really
rewarding feeling challenging/pushing people, and ultimately making
them feel better about themselves. I prefer being outdoors and
doing something hands on. Now that I live in the city I love
exploring different parts of town, shows, and sometimes even
playing tourist. I also recently became an overnight bookworm. So
when I'm not out and about I like to relax with a good read.
Friends and family keep me sane and as long as I have awesome
company around me I can pretty much have fun doing anything.= )
What I’m doing with my life
I'm enjoying my marketing job at an ad agency, teaching music, and
teaching fitness classes while still trying to maintain my time for
friends and family. I've been running 5-9 miles a day and recently
got inspired to run a half marathon (before I try for a full).
I’m really good at
Having fun, goofing around (but also being serious when I have to
be), playing sax, dancing, puzzles, lightening the mood errrr at
least trying to = )
The first things people usually notice about me
My humor, smile, how young I look for my age, and how pretty
straightforward I am.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Oh gosh, where do I start? If I'm reading it, it means I like it. I
usually don't pick up a book I know I'm not going to love. Some of
my favorites are: Life of Pi, Change of Heart, This Is Your Brain
on Music, Assholes Finish First, I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell,
Fiddler in the Subway, Anything by Jonathan Tropper, almost
anything by Shakespeare, Everything is Illuminated, The Phantom
Tollbooth (gotta take it back to the oldies), Night, Sea Glass,
Before I Fall, Dancing on MY Grave.
As for music....I love everything except for country and house
music. I will say I'm trryyyinnggg to open up to them slowly, but
it's a work in progress. My favorites are : Ray LaMontagne, Linkin
Park, Sick Puppies, Damien Rice, Idan Raichel, Eminem, RED, The
Tallest Man on Earth, Yemen Blues, Most film scores, all the
oldies, and anything I can dance to.
Movies and Shows: Black Swan, He's Just Not That Into You, The
Hangover, American History X, Pride and Prejudice, Everything Is
Illuminated, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Star Trek,
(yeah...like I said....nerd), Pirates of the Caribbean, Forest
Gump, Center Stage, Mao's Last Dancer, Wilfred, The Office, Archer,
Arrested Development, Family Guy, American Dad, Game of Thrones,
True Blood, The Tudors, House, SNL, South Park, Tosh.0, Cash Cab,
Glee, Raising Hope, Modern Family, Outsourced, 30 Rock, Community,
and I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting.
The six things I could never do without
My family, my friends, music, dancing/my dance gear, chocolate, my
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I usually have some soundtrack or tune going on in my head haha. So
if I'm ever totally randomly bobbing my head or singing
something....it's that. If I'm listening to music or something I
get ideas in my head for choreography. Other than that I guess the
normal stuff, ya know.
On a typical Friday night I am
It totally depends. I can be out having a blast with friends, or
inside relaxing and watching a movie. It's usually up in the air.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
During quiet, tense, awkward moments, or when I don't know what
else to say, I start humming/singing the Toys-R-Us song

Note: one of my biggest pet peeves is when people don't pay
attention to details and, as a result, ask stupid questions. Please
don't message me with stupid questions, I tend to ignore those.
