I haven't read much lately, but I know I should. Orange Is the New Black is on my nightstand. I chose to watch it on Netflix instead. Does that say something about my preference for multimedia? I will never read/watch the same thing twice, but I'll listen to the same song a thousand times. Ratchet rap music is my guilty pleasure. And "Tell 'Em Why You Mad", those people are crazy! I don't really understand/appreciate live music. Country music is for summer vacation--that's it. Everyone always asks me my favorite type of's French. I know, it's continental. But it's the best!

why most people seem satisfied with the thin decorative glaze and the artful stage lighting that sometimes makes the bedrock atrocity of the human predicament look somewhat more mysterious or less abhorrent. People gamble and golf and plant gardens and trade stocks and buy new cars and practice yoga and work and pray and redecorate their homes and get worked up over the news and fuss over their children and gossip about their neighbors and pore over restaurant reviews and found charitable organizations and support political candidates and attend the U.S. Open and dine and travel and distract themselves with all kinds of gadgets and devices, flooding themselves incessantly with information and texts and communication and entertainment from every direction to try to make themselves forget it.
