From April 20-June 15 I will be in rural Madagascar in villages without electricity or Internet. I won't be able to respond until after.

I am originally from California, but am living in South Africa until July, doing humanitarian work in impoverished communities, as well as a prison here. I sold my car and resigned my job as an English teacher to come to the African continent for the next 5 months to try to make a difference. So far, it has been an amazing experience.
I will be returning to California around June or July, after working a couple months on a cross-border outreach in Madagascar.

I love exploring, whether that's different culture or nature. I tend to be introverted, but value connecting with people.

After high school I joined the Marines and served two combat tours in Iraq. I finished my B.A. in English and taught English in Taiwan the last two years. I'm also pursuing a masters degree in Intercultural Studies.

I really love the outdoors, backpacking, finding new places on my motorcycle, etc. Other interests I have include writing, literature and poetry.
