My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I fall into the general category of geek. Most of my social activity involves pub trivia or playing board games. A lot of board games. Like, seriously. My friends are actually turning me into a bit of a board game snob, but I love them.

I also knit (poorly), crochet (less poorly), and make chainmail (it takes forever!).

I recently found out that I'm gluten intolerant. This fact has made eating a lot more interesting. Though it's also cool because I've learned a lot more about food and different fun diets like the Paleo diet.

I also fall into the category of feminist (because we should all be equal, dammit) and love all things and people queer. :D
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I currently work in the health care field, though that was never really what I wanted to do when I was growing up. Though I didnt really know what I wanted to do when I was growing up.

But. . .I'm happy. . .and that's really my only goal in life.

Though my secondary goal is to buy upright arcade cabinets, and one day own my own arcade/gaming bar. Or something of the like.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I've been told my apple pies are awesome.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People always say their eyes or their smile. I have no idea what other people notice about me. I am not other people.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
books: Harry Potter series,Otherland series by Tad Williams, Catch-22, any kind of true crime book, anything by Richard Dawkins, Chuck Pahlaniuk or Douglas Adams. Battle Royal, Cunt, LoTR, His Dark Materials, The Kingkiller Chronicle, Paper Towns, Geography of Nowhere, Bonecrusher (though my friend -constantly- tells me what an awful book this is and what an awful person I am for liking it), the Mistborn trilogy by Brandon Sanderson

I've also been reading comics for the first time in my life! Transmet and Kabuki so far are my top favorites. I will have to update this as I continue my new literary adventure.

music: OMG CHIPTUNES. Seriously, I'm addicted. MAGfest did not help. :) I love Anamanaguchi, Professor Shy Guy, Danimal Cannon, and Chipzel. I also like slightly more mainstream music like This Will Destroy You, Zox, Gogol Bordello, Muse, Say Anything, Deftones, Foo Fighters, Flogging Molly, Pomplamoose, Julia Nunes, The Hush Sound, Purity Ring, Ludique, and probably some other things. I also enjoy blue grass. Really, anything/band that uses a fiddle is usually pretty awesome.

movies: there are so many. Hard Candy, Secretary, Brick, Living in Oblivion, Fall, Scream, Tank Girl, 10 Things I Hate About You, True Romance, The Avengers, Pride and Prejudice, Inception, No Country for Old Men, 500 Days of Summer, Super 8, Closer, etc

Tv: Doctor Who is definitely a favorite. I am addicted to the BBC Sherlock, QI, Supernatural (I know. . .I know. . .), and. . . well, that might be it. I don't watch too much tv.

food: I like just about anything, though I am always up for Indian food.

video games: Steam sales man. . .I've been strangely addicted to Long Live the Queen and Super Hexagon the past few days.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
This question has always bothered me. Technically I could do without everything other than food, water, and shelter.

But I really like to have an Internet connection, delicious food, wine, cuddles, something fuzzy, and deodorant.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
just about anything. I'll go from thinking about the awful social ills of the world, to trying to figure out how to melt wood.

I also spend time thinking about all the things I want to learn, like Danish, and the details on computers (I mean, I can install a video card, but more of the complexities are currently beyond me), and how to make croissants (they're hard!).
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
probably playing board games. I have fallen into a group of friends for whom board gaming is the epitome of social interaction. And it is really awesome. If you like board games, we will probably get along. :D
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I cried once while watching a cartoon dog over eat and grow comically large. His feet couldn't even reach the floor!
