My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Do you go out of your way to be environmentally conscious? Try to buy only locally-grown organic produce? Care deeply about social justice issues and are politically involved?

Congratulations! You are a kind and caring person who should definitely click on the next profile. I do none of the aforementioned, and you will probably hate me.

Now that the SF required disclaimer is out of the way, let me introduce myself: hey there, I'm Riccardo, what's your name?

Underneath my dry, sarcastic exterior...there is more dryness and sarcasm.

To be fair, I am occasionally prone to human emotion and enjoy everything from gallivanting around beer crawls to hiking or settling down with a good book. I'm also a fan of stimulating conversation and devouring new knowledge.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I currently work as an IT professional at a computer consulting company. I very much enjoy the problem-solving aspects of my job, even if half the time the problem is where the clue by four went.

I was a Boy Scout in a past life, and still love to go camping. Yes, IT drones like the outdoors too.
One of my favorite spots is Henry Coe State Park, which is close enough that it can be a day trip and has plenty of hiking trails with a beautiful night view.

I like to play games, everything from video games to board games to RPG's. I definitely got super excited when I discovered a 3-d Newtonian space combat board game (Vectors are fun!).

Currently, I'm building and painting miniatures for Warmachine and trying to find a good local card shop, taking cooking and bartending classes for fun, and trying out new activities that catch my eye.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
An amalgam of different things. I would say cognitive reasoning is a strength of mine.
I love learning new things and improving the breadth and depth of my skills. However, my drawing skills are still confined to stick figures.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
[Blatantly obvious physical characteristic], and my [eyes/smile]. The deadpan sarcasm is a close second.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I used to manage a small bookstore, so I have entirely too many 'favorite' books. Signed favorites include Graveyard Boy, The Kingkiller Chronicles, and Ender's Game (although I like Speaker better). Others include Altered Carbon, Freakonomics, Kushiel's Dart, Predictably Irrational, Dune, and The 48 Laws of Power. There's also a special spot for the Animorphs.

Movies: Princess Mononoke, Casablanca, Star Wars, In Bruge, and terrible Sy-Fy horror movies

Shows: Archer, The League, Blackadder, Cowboy Bebop

Music: Depends on my mood, but most played includes: Disturbed, Nightwish, Slipknot, Rolling Stones, Killswitch Engage, Infected Mushroom, and George Thorogood.

Food: I'm not picky. I like going out and trying new things (frog legs, anyone?), but am perfectly happy at home with a steak and a beer.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Brain activity. I am adaptable, and everything else I could eventually learn to do without. If this question said things I prefer to have, then the list would include internet access, my cat, a form of transportation and good company. And at least one usable limb. Limbs are nice.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Finding the optimal line of play. Identifying and attempting to correct cognitive biases in my thinking.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Playing games or out with friends, laughing and having a good time. If not, I'm probably at home curled up with a book and glass of whiskey and a LoL game playing in the background.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a cat named Lucifer. Lucy for short.
