My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am evolving, compassionate, and hopeful
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Living it, laughing and crying and trying my best, changing, growing, evolving, learning as many lessons as I can. I am not living the life I want, but the only part of it I can change are my own choices, so I am. The process is difficult and painful but it's so worth it. Anything worth having is worth sacrificing, struggling with, and suffering for.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cooking complicated stuff. Scoring baseball games. Laughing out loud. Being realistic while still hoping for the best. Remembering song lyrics. Surviving. Loyalty. Changing.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes - my hair - my tattoos. My weight.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.

Favorite music: Dreaming by Blondie. Grace by Jeff Buckley, the song Last Goodbye in particular. U2 - "Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own." I adore Juliana Hatfield's Everybody Loves Me But You. I love classic rock, alt rock, metal, jazz, reggae (regular attendee at the SNWMF) and old R & B as well. Michael Franti and Spearhead are favorites of mine! Classical music - Chopin in particular. I love piano! I've been on an oldies kick lately - BBC Crown Jewels esp. I love music that moves me emotionally and/or makes me think, but I also love music that makes me throw the rock horns. I was a rocker chick back in the day.

Movies: Amelie. Seven Samurai. Sense and Sensibility and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon directed by Ang Lee. You Can't Take It With You directed by Frank Capra. Casino by Scorcese. Rushmore. Riding Giants directed by Stacy Peralta. And speaking of Stacy, Dogtown and Z-Boys. Roger and Me. Field of Dreams and Bull Durham. And then there are the stupid movies that I love so much: 40 Yr. Old Virgin, Anchorman, Walk Hard, and pretty much everything with Ben Stiller in it, esp. "Dodgeball" and "Zoolander." I love to laugh! Stand up comedy is always a favorite, as well as documentaries. Bill Hicks was an idol of mine. RIP Bill.

I don't read much "fine fiction" because it's usually sad and/or tragic. I have had quite enough tragedy and sorrow in my life. I want what I don't have, romance and comedy and adventure.

Foods: if it's edible, I love it. I never met a cuisine I didn't like. However, since I've gone refined sugar- and flour-free my choices are a lot more limited. OTOH, my sense of taste has been heightened immeasurably, so the payoff is worth the limitations.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Coffee, showers, music, lipstick, books, wireless dsl, love
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
why I'm here. Who was never born that caused us all to live in Potterville. My beautiful children. Why I never met my soulmate. How the right combination of tragedy and neglect can make even a true love die. How I'll ever have another romantic, loving relationship when I don't bring much that is obvious, desirable or tangible to the table. I wouldn't want to date me, on paper!
