I say what's on my mind which seems to scare people, but I am actually pretty harmless and sweet. I am very passionate about civil rights and social justice, my culture, Judaism, and the Israeli-Arab conflict. I'm pretty dedicated to helping solve that conflict in the future, actually. I love fantasy and science fiction, but my favorite types of movies are action movies. I love spending time with my dog and playing video games.

What I’m doing with my life

I live in Morton Grove, this town by Skokie on the North Shore of Chicago, but I'm currently attending the University of Illinois at Springfield and earning my bachelor's degree in Global Studies with a minor in Women and Gender Studies, considering adding some sort of degree in Computer Science. What I want to do with it, I'm not so sure. I would LIKE to get into diplomacy, or go to Israel and found conflict-resolution programs there focused on "seeing the other side" of things. I would like even more to find people to pay me to do these things :-p

Though the Twilight series is my guilty pleasure, my favorite books are The Color of Water by James McBride, The Seventh Tower series by Garth Nix, Sabriel-Lirael-Abhorsen by Garth Nix, State of Fear by Michael Crichton, A Tale of Love and Darkness by Amos Oz....I love to read, so I have many "favorite" books. At this moment, my favorite movie is V for Vendetta. Favorite bands include My Chemical Romance, Ludo, Sabliminal and Hadag Nachash.

The six things I could never do without

Something to read, a way to get in touch with people, (cell phone or email or what have you) human contact, and...that's about it. I can get along without most things, although it would be hard to give up my computer and the things that go with it.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I can't tell when someone's flirting. I honestly have no idea. I can't tell the difference between being nice and innocently friendly or being flirtatious--if you want to flirt with me or something of the sort, you will have to clue me in otherwise I'll probably think you're just a friendly fellow :-)
