My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
"Now look, your grace," said Sancho, "what you see over there aren't giants, but windmills, and what seems to be arms are just their sails, that go around in the wind and turn the millstone."

"Obviously," replied Don Quixote, "you don't know much about adventures.”

I've been working in politics for the past 6 years but I think I'm finally out. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

My favorite things in Madison are:

The Weary
Having a garden in Eagle Heights (I'm coming back too late this season but next season I'll be drowning in tomatoes and pole beans).
Rec Ultimate Frisbee - this is Madison, everyone should be playing ultimate with MUFA.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Now, I don't know what exactly I'm going to do. In the short term I'm driving a car from Madrid to Budapest and then bumming around Greece for a while. I'll be back in Wisconsin late July, early August. I think I'm ready to take a break from politics, though.

2013- 2014 I was the Director of the House Caucus in Ohio (in Columbus). It was an awful, awful job and I decided to leave it and come back to Wisconsin to be close to family.

In 2012 I worked the Obama campaign in Northeast Ohio.

In 2011 I took a 6 month trip through Europe and Africa (mostly Madagascar, I was drowning in lemurs.)

In 2010 I was running a campaign for a democratic State Assemblyman. Long hours and conference calls every night heyo!

I went on a six month long roadtrip through Latin America in 2007 to find the end of the earth. (Found it, lots of fluffy bunnies EVERYWHERE)

Before that I was a Team Leader with AmeriCorps*NCCC which basically meant I did a lot of paperwork and resolved a lot of conflicts while doing lots of disaster relief in New Orleans and Mississippi.

Apparently this is also my resume.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Picking out patterns in life.
Driving in Third World traffic.
Packing up and hitting the road.
I'm very good with string.

Apparently, according to the temp agency I worked for in Austin, TX, I'm really good at data entry. Awesome.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Well one time in Key West a comedian called me a glacier monkey.

I really like Terry Prachett, Neil Gaiman, George R. R. Martin (hopped right on that bandwagon, for sure), John Steinbeck (East of Eden is a big favorite).

I just watched Snowpiercer and was incredibly entertained.
Wes Anderson, Coen Brothers, etc etc.
The Big Lebowski
Blade Runner
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

This summer my soundtrack has been:
The War on Drugs
Fleet Foxes
Real Estate
Mala Rodriguez (play the song '33' really loudly).
Cloud Nothings
Gillian Welch (always)

Here are the foods I don't like:

Cooked brussels sprouts.
Cooked spinach.
Cooked cauliflower.
I will, however, eat these raw. Except the brussels sprouts, they can go to hell.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Music, Kites, Family, Mountains, Beaches, Books
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How I'm going to afford to drive the Mongol Rally.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out at the bars or relaxing with friends. Movies are always good. As are late night drives listening to music.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Sometimes I wish the Rapture would happen so we'd finally be free of all those unbelievably annoying people.

One of my super close friends Molly once yelled at me while we were talking about relationships, "Sean, you know what you need? You need a pistol!" So yeah, if you're a pistol.
