My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I moved as a kid from Boston to Nashville to Baltimore and spent most of my adult life in the Baltimore/DC area. I've always loved NYC and had the chance to move here in 2011. I live in the WV and enjoy being in the middle of all this energy that's somehow more vibrant and relentless than that of any other city. The only downside for me is being a few hours away from my family, all of whom I adore. I'm a pretty typical guy - into sports, great food and nights out with friends. I travel as much as I can get away from my work, which can be difficult to do. I don't mind though because I really enjoy what I do and I'm proud of what I've accomplished thus far in my career.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
For work I lead a mid-size organization that manages Federal real estate. Outside of work I try to do as many different things as possible. My friends will tell you that when I'm invited to do something, the answer is almost always yes no matter what it is.

I recently decided to take on chess as a new hobby.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
meeting new people. Can you list multiple talents here or would that be construed as obnoxious?

That I ask a lot of questions. And probably my butt....

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Never? Really? There are no things I could never do without because what would I do if those things were lost? I would adjust and learn how to be happy without them.

There are, however, things I hope never to have to be without:
1. Meaningful connections to others
2. The safety and security of a home
3. A sense of humor and perspective on life
4. The freedom to choose what makes me happy
5. Ambition
6. Access to information
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My thoughts are often introspective. One of them is usually about how best to "balance" my life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
probably unwinding with drinks and laughs until my battery runs out after a long week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
is that I'm not perfect and I'm ok with that.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You either live or spend a lot of your time in Manhattan.

You're not afraid to see where things go. I want to enjoy life and have fun, which includes meeting new people and experiencing new things.

Will we fall instantly and madly in love? Will we get married? Will we become good friends? Will we bore the crap out of each other?

Who knows? The question is, are you willing to find out?
