My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am sometimes cranky, sometimes snarky but almost always ready and willing with a smile and something to cause a belly laugh.

One of the not too numerous born and raised Californians with a mixed heritage (well, kinda). I am part Japanese and part Chinese, second generation American-born on both sides. A refugee from Los Angeles, and thanking the stars every day that I made the decision to "go north".

I am a walking dichotomy, ever curious, and sometimes delinquent. If on a wager you try to pigeonhole me you will most assuredly lose. If you want to wager with me.....I'm ALL IN!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Some of this....some of that! LOL

In reality I am a consultant working with not-for-profit organizations in assisting them with process management, executive leadership and ethics and adapting for-profit best practices.

There's lots more...I'm juggling balls, toasters and molotov cocktails...and I'll tell you more later.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

Putting together 3-course meals in 30 minutes with whatever is on hand.

Somehow extracting from my aging brain the algebra, geometry and chemistry I learned nearly four decades ago, and....explaining them to my daughter.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
(running to the mirror.........)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

A random and totally unranked brain dump for the moment...

Lincoln's Gettysburg Address, Marvin Gaye, The Blade Runner, ANY aquatic activity, my kids (if they weren't MY favorites, who's would they be?), Creme Brulet, sushi (sashimi included), sunrise or sunset atop Haleakala, walking in the rain, Carl Sagan, Joseph Campbell, Alicia Keys, House (I want to be that snarky), my collection of watches, selfless contributions by others
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Books! Kindle is a nice idea, but who wants to curl up in a big easy chair or hammock with a great Merlot or French Connection (you'll have to ask :-)) with an electronic pad?!?!

I need to pare down my list...I get only five more?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
...whether there is someone out there who can explain the algorithms used to determine the Match/Friend/Enemy rankings

...why people use the phrase "tuna fish" instead of just "tuna". Is there still a large segment of the population that does not know that tuna are fish???

...whether at the end of my time here I will have made a significant (no attributation required) contribution to making my small piece of the world a little better than it was before I arrived.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I don't have a "typical" any day. Why pick on Fridays????
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over. enjoy witty repartee as well as intimate conversation, are not a rabid idealogue from either end of the spectrum (though I do lean to the left), have at least one belly laugh a day, are not afraid of abject silliness in public, enjoy adding to your brain's minutiae...

Oh wait...not ALL of those...just one or two would be fine!
