I am chivalrous, inquisitive, and diversified.

My Self-Summary

Well it's been a while since I updated this thing but basically I am looking to meet some new people and see where things go from there. I am an independent person and live on my own, but it would be nice to have somebody to share some of the other things in life with.

I'm a pretty easy-going person, I don't like (or need) drama in my life now and am looking for somebody that has the same outlook. I've traveled a lot throughout the country and feel like I'm a better person for it. I have a whole different appreciation and perspective for people from all different walks of life, which is something I wouldn't trade for anything.

Sports are a huge part of my life, I've played them most of my life and have been a fan since the day I was born pretty much. I'm a huge football fan, doesn't matter whether it's college or pro, playing or watching, I'm there. I'm also a fan of baseball and basketball and love playing/watching those sports too.

I am sort of a quiet person, once I first meet some one, and people sometime misinterpret this that I am being distant or rude. Once I get comfortable, I'm actually pretty outgoing. I also try to go out of my way to be nice and polite to people, especially women. I still believe in chivalry, even if people say it's dead. It doesn't cost anything to be nice and respectful and there's no good reason for people not to be more friendly.

What I’m doing with my life

Well like I said I just moved down to the area for a job that I started somewhat recently. I work in government and I am thankful that I have a job in this crap-tacular economy. It's a good job but kind of stressful so I like to unwind and have a good time when I'm free--again drama not wanted.

I’m really good at

Listening to other people's problems and giving them advice, making people laugh, and really just being a friend because it's something I take very seriously. I also possess the rather useless talent of memorizing whole scenes of dialogue from TV shows and movies....if I could only get paid for that.

The first things people usually notice about me

People usually notice that I am pretty quiet when I first meet them but by the end of the night, I'm usually pretty personable and not to pat myself on the back too much, but most people think I have a pretty good sense of humor. Appearance-wise, it ranges from my hair sometimes to my rear-end.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Blow, Confederacy of Dunces, Blindside, The Art of War and I read a lot of books on true crime and criminal investigations as well as autobiographies.

Movies: 300, Anchorman, Dark Knight, Forrest Gump, My Cousin Vinny, 40 Year Old Virgin, The Crow, Generation Kill, No Country for Old Men, Saving Private Ryan, Superbad, V is for Vendetta, Goonies, Ace Ventura, Dumb and Dumber, Things We Lost in the Fire, Juno, Little Miss Sunshine, Stand By Me.

TV: The Office, Seinfeld, Frasier, Everybody Loves Raymond, Family Guy, First 48, Intervention, The Sopranos, and sad to say but pretty much anything on the History Channel.

Music: Black Label Society, White Zombie, Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, CCR, Black Eyed Peas, Everlast, George Thorogood, Alice Cooper, AC/DC, Johhny Cash.

Food: I'll pretty much try any type of food, but my favorites are Italian, Mexican, and Cajun...anything with some kick to it!

The six things I could never do without

1.) Family
2.) Friends
3.) Laptop
4.) Bed
5.) Cell Phone

I think I've only got five for now....I'll save my sixth one for a rainy day.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

the economy recently. How long is it going to be this bad, is it going to get any worse, and what the hell can we do to get out of this financial mess? I also spend a lot of time thinking about where I'll end up living, who I'll marry, and what the future holds in general.

On a typical Friday night I am

Really depends on the week could be in for the night, out at a bar, hanging out with friends....really no such thing as a typical Friday night. Plus sometimes I'll stay in on a Friday night but go out on Saturday. There's rarely an itinerary for the weekend which is how I usually like it.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Sorry a little too early in the game to be disclosing personal information--once I get to know you, maybe I'll tell you then.

You should message me if

If you think we have some things in common and might hit it off, either as friends or in terms of a relationship...I am looking for someone that's got some direction in her life, relatively drama-free, and isn't looking to play any games....someone that's close to their family is also a plus because I am very close to mine too. If any of this describes you, feel free to message away
