I'd like to start by describing you, the woman I am seeking, because that is how I focus my attention. You are a gracious, intelligent, graceful woman who has lived a full life, but knows that joy does not have an age limit. You deserve respect for the choices you've made, for the life you've lived, and for the woman you are. You have a big heart and desire a relationship with someone who knows how to have fun, someone who knows himself and feels confident enough to be himself. You like to be surprised, you enjoy spontaneity, but you also value solid values and integrity. You love to laugh, and you know how to cry.

Once you have developed a trusted relationship, you enjoy the physical aspects of being with a man who cares for you and respects you, and can make you feel valued and loved. Once the time is right, deep intimacy is something you desire as well as a passionate sex life, but you don't want to be rushed too quickly into anything. You love feeling held, feeling safe in the arms of the person who loves you more than anything and anyone else in the world. You value the experience, the caring, the knowledge that comes with someone like me, who has lived a very rich life. You are reasonably fit physically, give or take.

Now about me: I'm quite sensual, found lost in thoughts, intense, spontaneous, thoughful, caring, active, dedicated to eating right, and more. I prefer a woman who can embrace her intellect, feelings, and sexuality in an artful way. In some ways, I appear to be a conflict, but think of myself as being comfortable with being ecclectic. I live a rich inner-life, and although considered (by some) to be a bit older than others on OKC, I have a very youthful outlook on life. I enjoy exploring the beautiful natural world we live in, I love discovering new experiences – live music performances, swimming, hiking, and meditation. Education is important to me, and I read copiously in pursuit of it. Life, to a fairly good degree, is about continuing education. I also enjoy conversations, political discourse, philosophy, solutions, initmate subjects that need understanding, and then witty banter because life can be funny.

Some friends have told me I'm one of the funniest people they know, but I take them by surprise because I'm so low-key. I'm also about the inner you, and not your possessions. And equally, I care more about your mind, heart, your kindness, and your passions, than about the outer you, as long as you respect and take care of yourself, avoid being obese, and have self-respect. Being a plastic Barbie doll is hardly necessary, although not an obese person – what really matters is what's inside, and if you are an honest, loving, happy person, love lots of kissing and lovemaking, and otherwise are seeking the same, I have a sense we could be compatible.

I believe in life-long learning, and love taking classes that help me do my job better, as well as help me be a better member of planet earth. I am at a junction in my life where many of my old friends have moved away and I'd like to make new friends who share similar interests and passions.

I'm a wonderful friend. I show I care in big and little ways. I love deep or light conversations across a range of topics. I have always needed to know how things work, which makes me a very capable fix-it guy. (But I won't try to fix you, unless you ask me to.) I enjoy teaching – whether on technical topics, how to unplug the sink, or how to plant daffodil bulbs. My friends tell me I'm an excellent confidante and that I offer good advice, without being judgmental. Most of the time, though, I will simply listen and offer a long hug. According to the Myers-Briggs tests, I'm INFP, in that I am slightly introverted, highly imaginative, use my feelings and internal values in acting, and I am highly spontaneous. I vary between the court jester, and the serious thinker in weightier problems in life. In essence, this means I'm a fun guy, and a nice friend. And I've been told I give great foot-rubs and massages.

I may appear to be day dreaming, but am actually paying close attention to everything you say and do... and I might surprise you with my humor and spontaneity, because on the surface, I seem a bit shy.

I love books about history, especially the American West. Love movies, especially historically-based thrillers, romantic comedies, mysteries, and Westerns. My musical tastes range from early classical (especially Baroque and Renaissance periods) to upbeat contemporary, folk, and “oldies but goodies” rock classics. I'm not really what you'd consider a “foodie,” but I do enjoy preparing and eating good, fresh vegetarian meals, and also exploring the incredible ethnic possibilities available in the Bay Area. I especially seek out Japanese, Thai, and Mexican restaurants, off the beaten path. I tend to stay away from saturated fats.

The arts, books, spiritual exploration, friends, romance, the outdoors, hot tubs, sexuality, being caring, and you. Yes, I know, more than six, but I'm full of enthusiasms that OKC cannot control.

World events, personal life, and learning more, communicating with someone on a deep basis.
