2012 highlight was experiencing a 10 day silent Vipassana meditation. Sublime. Hardest, most rewarding thing I've ever done. Buddhist teachings/philosophy appeal to me on many levels, but I also love the inclusive, activist, everyone is welcome message of joy and exuberance at GLIDE. Also recently PADI certified in La Paz and am spent Xmas in the Dominican Republic learning to Kite Surf.
I'm on a lifelong journey to become less type A, let go, lose control. Happier as I'm getting older knowing that I've learned a great deal but realizing that I still have so much to learn.
I live to be outdoors in nature. I love to cook, I love music and art, architectureI love kids, I love Burning Man, the Aids Ride. I'm an unabashed sports fanatic, especially college hoops. (I went to Duke...I can't help it) : )
If you find this TED TALK Fascinating, we should really talk. http://www.ted.com/talks/richard_wilkinson.html
P.S. I'm dying to see more live jazz.
On a recent night I ate divey bbq and soul found and watched 11 groups of Bay Area artists interpret Radio Head's Kid A album. Would love to find a partner who was into that. ; )
