My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
~Some~ might sum me up as a bleeding-heart tree-hugging liberal-intellectual... and I couldn't really say that they're wrong...
I'm a mathematical physics major, with a minor in neurology. I care deeply about the health of the environment, and espouse strongly progressive politics.

I enjoy general adventuring and mischief. I'm very social, and most of my free time is spent getting into either hijinks ~or~ shenanigans with my hoodlum pals.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Solving mysteries, and breaking into abandoned amusement parks with the help of my ditzy companions and our talking great dane.

I have recently established a small investigation/scientific consulting firm, with a focus on field work and scientific analysis of client's otherwise intractable problems; thus far, however, my work has consisted primarily of freelance consulting for the local po-po.

Additionally, I work as a pit-boss at a casino/resort, and search desperately to find a way to pursue my PhD without having to give up the kick-ass lifestyle to which I have grown accustomed. After finishing that last sentence, it has occurred to me that I apparently spend at least some of my time writing run-on sentences as well.

I also spend quite a bit of my time inventing things; usually devices with some eco-friendly or otherwise beneficent bent. I've cobbled together an exhaust filter that strips the carbon emissions from cars, a microwave-powered steam engine, an electrolytic water filter for use in developing nations, and countless other doodads.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Problem solving and fixing things. I'm very sciencey and mathy, and I try to be as helpful with those talents as possible.

What good is being an Olympic-level dorkus, if you can't help others solve their problems?

I have an unlimited supply of trivia both scientific, and useless.

I'm wicked good at speaking in various accents.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
~Probably the fact that I dress like a sixty year old math teacher.

~I'm bilaterally symmetrical

My musical tastes are... um... eclectic to say the least.

I am a fan of a lot of underground hiphop, like Blackalicious and The Coup. I am a huge fan of depression-era blues and jazz, and enjoy oldschool big-band stuff as well. I also like the new-wave stuff of the early 80s like Gary Newman and Human League. I love classical, and have a special taste for bombastic pieces, such as Prokofiev's Dance of the Knights. For the most part, the music I enjoy is upbeat, and dancey. Among contemporary acts, I like Daft Punk, Gorillaz, Gnarls Barkley, Saadiq, United Future Organization, and a long list of others,

Oh! And I have a bit of a yen for prog-rock! I dig Trex, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Yes, etc. etc..

I am not a fan of country music.

My favorite books are myriad. I tend toward non-fiction, non-narrative works, like Feynman's Six Not-So-Easy Pieces, and Dawkins' The Selfish Gene.
I have a vast library of old occult works, and enjoy collecting old, quack medical texts. My total collection is roughly 60% legitimate contemporary scientific texts, and 40% arcane occult texts.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
•The fam

•My most excellent friends

•Logic & Reason

•My toothbrush

•Bathing

•My life-sized solid-gold replica of Estelle Getty
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The nature of the Universe, and existence. I'm profoundly curious about everything, and I can't help but to research it all. It's pretty compulsive, really. I also spend a lot of time being snarky about the shortcomings of humanity.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Working, sadly. That's what sucks about working at a casino-- Having to work weekends and holidays.

On the plus-side, at least I'm inhaling a lot of second-hand smoke, so despite the fact that I've always avoided cigarettes like the plague, I'll still probably die of lung-cancer! Oh wait...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a bit O.C.D.

On the one hand, this means that my apartment is always very tidy, and that I always smell pleasant; on the other hand, it means that I'm not often very touchy/huggy.
