My self-summary
I am fun, funny, and even a bit complicated for a male; I have a moody and gray sense of the world that often translates into humor--more a survival mechanism than malice. I'm still curious about the world and am confounded by those who are not. I'm playful, intelligent and tend toward the empathetic. Needing more time alone than most, I might take a few days to recharge, but am never far away when needed.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm really into setting goals and achieving them these days; I want to be the best that I can be and am fascinated by self-discipline. Mountains, hiking, and distant, remote places sustain me as do crowded city haunts. We live in a special place that offers the best of all worlds and there is not a day that I forget that.
I’m really good at
realizing that there is always someone better at everything, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't go into it with a sense of style, gusto and adventure.
The first things people usually notice about me
I really don't want to know what people notice first about me; it's better to have some mystery in that regard.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music: Legendary Pink Dots, Brian Eno, The Moon Lay Hidden Beneath a Cloud. In the pop realm: early synthesizer driven new wave.

Books: Literary classics in general with a preference for 19th Century Gothic Romances. Mary Shelley's 'The Last Man' and Melmoth the Wanderer are the very best. More modern: history books (especially from the 30's and 40's--they're more subjective and breathe so much more life into the tale) and the great (and terrible) Celine.

Film: I don't see a lot of movies. I was charmed by Castaway on the Moon recently. Dark comedies are wonderful--it still becomes an instant Holiday every time I put Better off Dead in the old vcr.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I made myself a mix-tape of 80's inspirational soundtrack music that actually inspires me when I run.
