My self-summary
I am a working stuntman here in New York who also returns to Alaska to lead arctic expeditions. This past summer I helped some South Africans swim from Asia to the United States and this April I am going to help film Polar Bears as they come out of their dens for spring.

I was born and raised in Alaska.
my folks ran their own travel business and so I was lucky enough to do a lot of traveling growing up, and still do.

At 17 I joined the Marine Corps and worked as a Reconnaissance Marine and Embarkation NCO.
I have a degree in Theatre, after changing majors from a hard science.
Moved to NYC.

I ride my bike every day, rain and shine, summer and winter . Riding my bike is my favorite mode of travel.
I have been playing in the Men's roller derby league and I love it! My derby name is Frozen Chozen, because I am an Alaskan Jew.
What I’m doing with my life
Working in Stunts until I gain enough life experience to go become a high school teacher back in Alaska.

This summer I plan on getting back into surfing & making 100 dives (Scuba).
I’m really good at
Being there when the chips are down and you up creek.
Finding the fun in awful tasks.
Comparing human behaviors to their animal equivalent.
Biking through rush hour traffic.
Being prepared.
Making sarcastic comments about things around me.
The first things people usually notice about me
My blue eyes. And that my look is always changing because of work.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I have been reading all of the classics. I loved the count of monte cristo, robinson crusoe, and 1984. I also really like Science Fiction. Not the ray gun SyFy but the political and social commentary SyFy, think Kurt Vonnegut. I have been reading the John Carter of Mars series. SO GOOD! I cant believe it was written in 1911. Y the last man, DMZ, & The Walking Dead. I also read a lot of nonfiction and biographies and history.

I got rid of my TV just over 10 years ago and so I can sometimes be a bit behind on movies and TV. That being said I do watch a bit of what is currently trending so I can keep up in conversations at work. It can be a bit embarrassing when I don't know anything about a popular TV show or Movie when you work in the industry.

Documentaries are a completely different matter all together. I have been known to inhale 3 or 4 in one sitting.
What can I say I am a huge nerd.

Lately I have been listening to Empire of the Sun, Gorillaz, Skinny Puppy, Klaxons, The Black Keys, Pink Martini, Flo Rida, Die Antwoord, Daft Punk & Adele.

I am a picky eater. ( I would like to change that)
I eat icecream everyday. Usually coffee, and most of the time the entire pint right before bed.
The six things I could never do without
Whatever book I am reading
Pencil/ Note Book
Seeing the funny in things
Extra Socks
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to play pretend so well that others want to play with me.
On a typical Friday night I am
I try to leave the weekends for everyone with a 9 to 5. Meaning I am staying home or if I go out it will be to someplace low key.

I on occasionally get the dancing bug and will be found closing down the bar, mostly dancing with myself. (a miss spent youth as a raver.)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have been a part of 2 dance groups, modern and burlesque.
You should message me if
You want to do a road trip .
Like playing board games at the bar.
Know a good place to go dancing.
You want to take me surfing.
You agree that someone smart is more attractive than someone good looking.
You know that my name is not a reference to guns in any way.
You want to meet in person because it is the best way to get to know someone.
You should be accepting of unpredictable schedules that can and will change last min. I get work last min and dont know what time work ends until it is over. ( I really do try to be respectful of peoples time but work is work.)

Spontaneous adventures are my jam!
