I am laid back, imaginative, and pretty geeky.

My Self-Summary

I'm 26 thanks to that annual event called my birthday having passed again, and living in brisbane since moving here over 20 years ago (from Perth).

Recently changed job again, going from being self employed to the shackles of a "proper" job thanks the glorious economy (All hail the economy). New job has been consuming my time do to the amount of study required to keep up with it.

I'm a bit of a geek / nerd (hey? where did everyone go???). I enjoy technology which is why I went into IT. I play the odd game from time to time and aren't afraid of looking like a dork playing rock band.

I am interested in history and geography. I have travelled to Thailand and Singapore on Holiday, and to the US for work. I am interested in politics and world events.

What I’m doing with my life

Currently adjusting to a change of job. Working on a handful of personal projects, and generally still trying to have some fun.

I’m really good at

Typing cryptic commands into computers on the other side of the planet (its a living).

Also Procrastination... (note to self... must write more)

The first things people usually notice about me

The first thing people probably notice about me would be the first thing you notice about any 6 foot 3 guy with size 15 shoes (the smile on his face). Seriously thought people tell me I have a good smile (though they can never explain it).

I tend to have trouble finding photos I like of me.... I am not a "kodak moments" kind of person so I rarely take photos... I tend to think I look angry, goofy or bored in most pictures I try and take....

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

As a general rule I love comedy (though I don't always get british comedy (IT Crowd and Monty Python excluded), science fiction, adult targeted cartoons. I tend to enjoy obscure cultural references in music and movies.

Books) Fight Club, Survivor, Dune, Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, He died with a falafel in his hand, Tasmanian Babes Fiasco, Cryptonomicon, jPod. Don't read nearly as much as I want to, now I tend to have my head in reference manuals as part of my job.

Movies) Butterfly Effect, Fight Club, V for Vendetta, The Matrix, LOTR, Series 7, Mallrats, Dogma, Clerks, Clerks II, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Boondock Saints, Seven, SuperTroopers, Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, Boondock Saints.

Music)

Korn, System of a Down, Disturbed, Hilltop Hoods, The Herd, Smile Empty Soul, Jimmy Eat World, Green Day, John Butler Trio, Bloodhound Gang, The Offspring, Smashing Pumpkins, MC Frontalot, Metamystiks, Inc, YTcracker

The six things I could never do without

Friends & Family, Laptop, iPhone, Wok, opportunity

I spend a lot of time thinking about

I am always thinking about a variety of things, from the project I am working on at work, hypothetical situations, and my lot in life. I tend to spend a lot of time weighing choices, considering, pondering scenarios and when the actual decision will actually be made in the spare of the moment.

On a typical Friday night I am

Generally spending it with friends, out having dinner. New job means on some weeks I could be working.... one of the pains of life....

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Its only private if I keep it private. Ask me a question and chances are I'll answer it.

But as for one of those tantalising bits of knowledge to keep the reader interested how about the fact that I didn't find out who I thought was my father wasn't until I was 18. And I have never met my biological father.

You should message me if

Your actually still reading this at this point.

I love speaking to new people, unfortunately I tend to be a bit timid about starting up a conversation as I don't want to impose on someone. So if you want to have a chat please message me.
