Some men dream of fortunes, others dream of cookies. I guess I fall
somewhere in between.
Born and raised on the mean streets of Greenwich Village.
I love to travel and have been to every continent minus Antarctica,
(one day if the right lady would accompany me)
What I’m doing with my life
I worked as a tour guide on double decker buses for a while. The job consisted mainly of talking about the city I grew up in, making wise cracks and telling tourists to sit down while the bus was in motion lest they be decapitated by an oncoming traffic light. It was a fun gig.
These days I work at a museum in Brooklyn. I spend much of my free time playing music and rambling around the city.
I’m really good at
Coming up with get rich quick schemes that I have yet to implement.
I have a catalog of NYC trivia stocked in my brain, some of it
useless, some of it crucial for survival.
The first things people usually notice about me
My untameable hair.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Portnoy's Complaint , One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Downtown by Pete Hamill, The true Story of the Three Little Pigs, The Tomtem, anything by Dr. Seuss cause I like to relive my childhood, Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, Lolita.
25th Hour, Dark Days, The Holy Mountain, Best in Show.
The Simpsons, Seinfeld, Colbert, The Wire
My taste in music has few boundaries, but my old standby is Tom Waits. I'm crushin on Norah Jones.
Buffalo wings, cherry tomatoes, eggplant, halal food.
The six things I could never do without
fam, friends, music, fruit juice, comic relief, orange milano
cookies... I can't really think of much else.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
my future, but I guess that's a given, New York in the 70's vs.
present(resenting the fact that I grew up in a mostly gentrified,
fancy new york, but also thankful that I can ride the subway into
the wee hours without having to worry about getting shanked), my
future house boat, what it's like to live in different places
around the world, unfortunately sports, (I have an addiction to
ESPN sportscenter that i am trying to kick)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My father runs an erotic bakery in rural idaho.
