Hi, my name is Ali (short for Alessandra). I'm complex, passionate, and human. And a pretty cool lady.

I have BA in Theatre Arts with an emphasis in acting. I'm interested in a job in politics, though not as a politician myself.

If you know about personality types, I'm an INFJ, with some ENFJ tendencies. When I tell people I'm introverted, they rarely believe me. Trust me, I'm introverted.

In November, I finished volunteering full-time for six months as a Field Organizing Fellow with Organizing for America (President Obama's grassroots campaign). I'm about to start up as an intern for Senator Merkley in his Portland office, and I'm currently looking for a paying, part-time job elsewhere.

Lots of things. But I'm not so good at describing them. So here's a short list of things I may or may not be really good at:

That I'm funny - at least, in person. People tend to start laughing within five minutes of meeting me. That's not to say that I'm some kind of class clown (well, not always!), I just like to make people smile and laugh.

People probably also notice other things, but I don't know what they are! Mostly that I'm friendly, I guess, and an individual, and very genuine. Over the past year I've learned that I'm really the most comfortable when I'm honest with myself and with others, and I think I'm a lot better for it.

I don't really have a typical Friday night. It could range anywhere from sitting at home alone watching TV/reading a book, going to a movie with a friend, seeing a concert, or endless other possibilities.

I've only ever had one relationship. For some reason I've always had serious trouble getting to the "you like me, I like you, so we should date" level of relationships. I would like to get better acquainted with the process.
