My self-summary
Hi, my name is Ali (short for Alessandra). I'm complex and human. And a pretty cool lady.

Every time I see "irrelevant" on the questions thing, I think of "irrelephant."

My friends are always telling me how much they love me, and how much they appreciate me. And while I love them too, it's often a reminder of that other kind of relationship I've never really been able to get a hold on.

And that's why I'm here, writing this. Because, "hope is that stubborn thing inside us that insists, despite all the evidence to the contrary, that something better awaits us so long as we have the courage to keep reaching, to keep working, to keep fighting."

I named my car Sadie, after Sadie Hawkins. It's important that we overcome our fear of failure, and go after what we want.

But, you know. I'm not super serious or intense. I'm more of the opposite, most of the time. Even OKC recognizes that I'm a laid back kinda gal.

I have a BA in Theatre Arts with an emphasis in acting. I volunteered with President Obama's grassroots team in 2012, then interned with Senator Jeff Merkley at his Portland office. I'm kind of figuring out stuff right now, and studying for the GRE, while I save up some moolah for whatever lies ahead.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently working full-time at the new CityTarget downtown while I suss out what my career aspirations are.
I’m really good at
Lots of things. But I'm not so good at describing them. So here's a short list of things I may or may not be really good at:
-Inspiring folks
-being funny/weird
-Writing things as they sound in my mind
-Being a friend to cats
-Being a friend to humans
-making people I like feel appreciated
-Teaching people how to do stuff
-Making cheap grilled cheese
-baking chocolate chip cookies, banana bread, various other baking items, and making good dinner sometimes
The first things people usually notice about me
That I'm funny - at least, in person. People tend to start laughing within five minutes of meeting me. That's not to say that I'm some kind of class clown (well, not always!), I just like to make people smile and laugh. Also I have a very unique personality that is an anomaly to a lot of people.

People probably also notice other things, but I don't know what they are! Mostly that I'm friendly, I guess, and an individual, and very genuine. Over the past year I've learned that I'm really the most comfortable when I'm honest with myself and with others, and I think I'm a lot better for it.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
This season of NWSL (go Thorns!), how nice kittens are, what I want to do for the rest of my life, how to be social like a normal human of my age (including, but not limited to, Remedial Starting a Romantic Relationship which I seemed to have skipped or slept through in high school), clever things to say to people that I often forget to say
On a typical Friday night I am
I don't really have a typical Friday night. It could range anywhere from sitting at home alone watching TV, reading a book, or playing video games, going to a movie with a friend, seeing a concert, working late, or endless other possibilities.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I often browse Craigslist's missed connections, hoping that someone's missing me.

When I was a little girl, I actually believed I might secretly be a Sailor Scout and repeatedly attempted to transform into my Sailor Scout uniform (I thought I was "Sailor Planet X.")

I'm willing to admit anything. I only keep secrets when It's improper not to.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 21–27
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
you want to. I can't guarantee I'll respond. I'll read your message, and I'll look at your profile. And if I think I might click with you, I'll respond. And if I don't respond, it's nothing about you, or how you look, or what you say. It's that intangible "something" that everyone looks for in someone else. It's just a matter of finding it in each other. I hope that's you as much as you might hope it's me. Give it a shot.
