My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hey there I'm Alex! Well first off I'm a California native, and I've been here my whole life......well most of it, I was out of state for a couple of years here and there.........forget it lets just say my whole life haha.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I graduated from USC with a BA in History. Also I'm a Lieutenant in the California Army National Guard. Trust me, I can pretty much explain the whole army thing, I've gotten really good at it having been on this site and explaining it to people so far. Besides that I just got back from some training over the summer so I'm back to the job searching crunch. Oh joy :).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Oh if you get me on a goal, you probably won't hear from me till its done. I'm not saying I'm secretly a Mr. Meeseeks (please get the reference), but I usually throw myself fully into the things I care about. That and if you see me running an obstacle course or jungle gym you might be impressed. So if you're someone who likes yoga, bodyweight fitness, and getting on the bar/rings, then we'll get along. Basically this
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Most of the the time its stuff I never really noticed in the first place. Most people comment on the way I walk; they say I have a very confident and purposeful stride. So maybe the first thing you'll say when you say "oh damn check out this guy" and hopefully it won't be sarcastic haha. "Hi" works too.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: A Song of Ice and Fire, The Iliad/Odyssey, Gates of Fire, and any book revolving around history.

Movies: I love all kinds of movies. Historical, adventure, fantasy comedy, sci-fi, etc. If we geek out about the same things we'll more then likely get along in all these categories. My favorites are Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, Back to the Future and Indiana Jones. That list can go on for a while.

Shows: Anything on HBO, comedy central, FX, AMC, History Channel. My current favorites are Game of Thrones, Arrested Development, The Office, Parks and Recreation, South Park, and Arrow.

Music: Anything really. Mostly old stuff though, 80's rock, movie music, classical, electric, house. Not a fan of country. Seeing as how I'm in the south for a couple of months, that might be unbelievable for some. Definitely would never consider myself a country boy in any sense of the word.

Foods: I am a big fan of Italian and Mexican food. Oh and please never take me to a bakery, you probably won't be able to get me out.

Politics: I lean neither left nor right. I will have meaningful conversations about anything going on in the news. I'd actually appreciate a deeper conversation. Actually its a huge positive in your favor if you like to talk about sociological trends, the way people think the way they do, or anything you want really.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Headphones.
2. A book
3. My Ipad
4. Sunscreen (look at my head and tell me I don't need it haha)
5. My glasses (I just don't need them for pictures ;) )

Ok it's not like I really need those things, but I'd be pretty pissed if I didn't. That and life might be a little more difficult without the sunscreen and glasses.

6. Maybe you? Not in a clingy sense, but more of a "I really want you in my life" kind of way.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
1. How Game of Thrones will end.
2. How to adjust my work out.
3. How to beat traffic.
4. The next book to read.
5. The next big movie coming out.

These are very serious concerns, especially the first one haha.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Watching movies, out on a run, eating out, staying in watching Netflix/HBO, reading, etc. Or maybe on a date with you :)?

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You feel like we have some things in common, and you're interested in meeting up. I would rather talk on the phone or actually meet up as soon as possible so we don't just endlessly email on here.

I'm just looking to hang out, meet people, and make friends. I'm very open to a long term relationship. It all just depends on the person/circumstances.
