Books - many genres and authors, mostly SciFi and humor. A
representative (but by no means exhaustive!) selection: Terry
Pratchett, Connie Willis, Greg Egan, Robert Heinlein, Douglas
Hofstadter, Philip Pullman, Neal Stephenson, and of course the
Harry Potter series. Also, I sometimes enjoy just reading
Shakespeare's plays. He really was the best.
Music - that's perhaps the only thing I love more than books.
I've been told be many people that my playlist is one of the
strangest they had ever seen. I sure try to keep it that way.
Some of the things I like are:
* Old rock and pop- from ABBA to Queen, from The Beatles to Elton
John, from Aqua to Mireille Mathieu, from Meat Loaf to Pink
* Metal - Metallica, Nightwish, Stratovarius, Galneryus, and
especially Trans Siberian Orchestra.
* Instrumental - Bond, Keiko Matsui, Philip Glass, and lots and
lots of classical music that I keep constantly discovering for
myself on Youtube.
* Crossover - Il Divo, Michael Crawford and especially Sarah
Brightman, whose voice just hypnotises me.
I'm not really a movie person; usually I just watch them for my
favorite actors. For stories I prefer TV shows: Doctor Who, Castle,
Boston Legal, Sherlock and sitcoms, mostly the old British ones.
But the best shows I have ever had the privilege to see were
Firefly, Life on Mars, Ashes to Ashes and Homicide: Life On The
Food, now; I don't have any special preferences, as long as it's
Kosher. Yes, I am an Atheist, but I eat Kosher because... ask me
