My self-summary
Tomatoes, thunderstorms and new socks makes me happy. I can be competitive, and enjoy a challenge. I love cooking which is probably why I became a chef. I can be easy going, goofy and aloof at times, but know how to put my game face on. It is really easy to make me smile and I enjoy returning the favor. I would love to find someone as lighthearted as me. I have a burning desire to learn and further educate myself, in relation to my field of work. I am constantly trying to teach myself new skills. Right now I am learning to farm and forage on my days off, and have a love for all artisanal crafts such as beer brewing, cheese making, and charcutery. I love reading cooking books and am currently going through Modernist Cuisine right now. If you know what that book is you will get 7 bonus points.

I ski, but do not snowboard. I will not have sympathy for you if you get eaten by a shark. My favorite Rolling stones song is sympathy for the devil. For some reason, hearing black betty while out and about will always put a huge smile on my face. I love the outdoors and nature as much as I love living in a crowded city. I think I need both in my life to truly be happy. I love to yoga.
I am a big traveler and try to get to new places in this small world as often as I can. Right now, southeast asia is next up my list, and my favorite place to visit is Spain.
What I’m doing with my life
I just moved back to Philly from Rehoboth Beach DE after spending the last year or so helping a close friend open his restaurant. Right now I am exploring various options and working on a pop-up restaurant project in Philly.
I’m really good at
Speaking poor Spanish, making people smile, jenga, surprising people (in general terms and from behind doors), making my bed in the morning, and back in the day (3rd grade recess) I was a Pogs master. I can also jog really fast.
Taking in 10 overloaded bags of groceries at once rather than making 2 trips.
But for serious, I do really enjoy a good intellectual conversation , and tend to keep track of world politics and on goings. I find its nice to stay informed about the world you live in.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm like bird man baby; I fly in any weather ;-)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Movies: Rounders, Layer Cake, Zombie Land, princess bride, hackers, good fellas, battle royal, Das Experiment, Run Lola Run, grind house, true romance, reservoir dogs, clockwork orange.... the list will go on for a while so I will end with the 2 great trilogies of my generation. You know who you are.

TV: always sunny, breaking bad, south park, the league, the wire.. californication and other random things...

Food: not gonna even go into food, I will eat anything and do it with a smile on my face.

Books: If you know what Modernist Cuisine is, you get like 26 bonus points from the gate.
Anything Nelson Demille or Vince Flynn. Enders game, Once the Hodja, The Art of War, On food and cooking, Molecular Gastronomy, Kitchen Confidential, The Da Vinci Code, Angles and Demons, the lost symbol, The Hank Thomson Trilogy, The Shotgun Rule, Sleepless or anything else Charlie Huston, and the HP series.

Music: Instead of listing a million groups on here, you should just ask me in person...

I spend a lot of time thinking about
How many times is it inappropriate to say "what?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't understand a word they just said? Why freezers don't have a light as well. How are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?
Oh, and how come shirts get dirty, underwear gets dirty, but pants... Pants never get dirty and you can wear them forever.
On a typical Friday night I am
dreaming of the Santa Monica Boulevard... or most likely working. After work is another story all together, but that is something for you to discover on your own ;-)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Ok, so you remember back in the late eighties and early nineties you could call a number to find out what time it was exactly, and the woman's voice on the other end said, "At the tone, the time will be..." Well, as a child, I always heard it as, "At the Dome, the time will be" So in my head, I just assumed there was some underground dome where a team of scientists were keeping track of the time, because god forbid, someone lost track of it for even a second, then we will all be effed. So anyway one day I asked a friend if he knew anything about this dome or where it was... And well you can see where this is going at this point. Boy did I feel silly. The End
