My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
What to say... I like quoting Shakespeare when the situation calls for it (it often does). I think I was born in the wrong time period because the past always seems better in retrospect. Maybe that's why we can't appreciate the present. Anyway, I love to learn interesting things from interesting people.

I'm not a fan of how the current public definition of a "realist" is a synonymous with pessimism. I believe that, in reality, a person can do whatever the hell they want if they can be tricky enough.

My number one goal at this point is to develop a career as a sophisticated thief and steal priceless works of art for a living.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm currently working full time at a plasma donation center earning extra cash for school and such. I love my job. I'm working on a major in biology so I can pursue neuroscience and marine biology, but I also love acting so I do the occasional film and/or play every now and then.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Keeping a good conversation going. I have a wealth of knowledge about some utterly useless things, and I'm proud of it.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My curly hair and my voice. I recently took a call from my boss' boss at work and found out that she referred to me as the "phone sex operator." That's something I can live with. And I can do a great impression of Patrick Stewart. I'm working on my Michael Caine. Getting better.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I lean towards the classics with books. My favorite is The Phantom of the Opera, which I read when I was 9 after I saw a picture of Lon Chaney as Erik that utterly fascinated me. Les Miserables has made me a better person and has taught me not to be so judgmental. The Odyssey will always remain near and dear to my heart. Odysseus is one of my role models. A Clockwork Orange is incredibly fun to read and I love the horrorshow Nadsat slang and occasionally slip into it in conversation. As you can expect, I'm met with a lot of blank stares.

I love a good horror movie, but I'm very specific about it. My favorite movie ever is 28 Days Later. The concept, style, acting, and music were all perfect for me. Danny Boyle is my favorite director and I have thoroughly enjoyed all of his work. I'm also a big fan of Darren Aronofsky, even though I find that I need to go do something pleasant after I watch one of his movies. The man knows how to get to you. Christopher Nolan has simply never let me down. All of his movies are extremely unique and in the age of generic over hyped tripe like Avatar, it means a lot to have a director who has original ideas. The Evil Dead trilogy holds a special place in my heart and I maintain that we owe our eventual survival to Bruce Campbell. Hail to the king, baby.

I don't watch a ton of TV, so it's pretty hard for me to get into a series unless it's really something. Arrested Development falls into that category. Every time I rewatch that series I catch new jokes I missed the first time and laugh my ass off like it's the first time I've seen it. Flight of the Conchords is great and extremely quotable. AMC originals are among my favorites. Breaking Bad has some of the greatest conflict I've ever seen. Seriously, go watch the first three minutes of the first episode and tell me you aren't hooked. I'll wait. I also have a bit of an obsession with The Twilight Zone.

My favorite band of all time is the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I love the way they've changed over the years while still keeping their initial individuality. Anthony Kiedis is a king of lyrical poetry and Flea's basswork has set a standard that most bands can't live up to. And Chad Smith looks like Will Ferrel. I also like plenty of indie bands, most notably The Arcade Fire. Big fan of Dave Matthews Band (even though I like to make fun of him as well.) The Seatbelts are my favorite jazz band. I'm also really into soundtracks. A good 70% of the music on my iPod is instrumental.

Food: Italian. I could eat manicotti for the rest of my life.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My iPod. I'm under the impression that I have fantastic taste in music.

My collection of waistcoats. They are my favorite form of clothing.

You have something interesting to say. (Sidenote: I find it cheerfully ironic that there are plenty of women on this site who claim that they won't acknowledge messages comprised of variants of "hey" and yet can't come up with much more to say themselves when messaging someone else, aka me. Just an observation.)
