My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Holy crap, I am still alive! As of November 2010, anyway.

Moving on, I am a geek, a nerd, a workaholic, and so on. But I try not to be typical.

Most of my time is spent working, doing computer programming, in various languages (Perl, PHP, SQL, C, C++, Ruby [preferably on Rails]). I love doing this and I gladly spend 11 hours a day here. Right now I'm involved with a document management product.

I am moving, I am now the proud owner of a condo in downtown Waltham. Because of this, I traded in my 100 mile commute for a lot of walking. Saving gas and getting fit at the same time.

I don't like blue LEDs.

I do not spend countless hours playing games such as World of Warcraft, Second Life, and so on. My one vice is Kingdom of Loathing.

I have been going back to school, trying to get a masters of computer science. So far, a 4.0 GPA for the courses I have taken since last year.

That profile picture is very, very old. Yes, I am aware that I should post a more recent pic. No, it isn't happening anytime soon.

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Full time software developer. Part time grad student.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Pretending to have everything under control.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My voice.

I get complimented a lot on my eyes (note that I dodged the question).

I've been told that I am wise beyond my years. Which is either good or bad.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
One thing I can never do without is an answer to this: How are answers to this question a useful window into someone's life?

It may have had some lofty goal, but most answers seem to include a few common things, like a bed, a computer, the Internet, a place to live, a job, air, food, and so forth. Basically, the common answers are the essentials for a warm-blooded creature that pays taxes, seeks a nice place to sleep, and needs to traipse around OkCupid. It turns out that 99% of OkCupid's users fit that description; why must it be reinforced?

Moving on...

A third thing I can never do without is feeling like I am a slave to sillyness. Consequentially, things four through six are going to be left unanswered.

(I had a second thing, but I now no longer need it thanks to Workrave).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Whatever I can challenge my brain with. From the mundane (day-to-day at work) to the deep (meaning of life). My mind is never blank.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Maybe still at work. And by "work," I mean our Friday evening meeting. And by "meeting," I mean we head to the bar.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't know how to whistle. And now I know other people on OkCupid can't whistle either!

(Update: It seems even more people are admitting on this site that they can't whistle. Did I start a trend, or is there something more sinister?)

I also don't drink coffee.
