Whoa, nellie! After a friend (NeuroGeekWoman) wrote the "Are you a
Replicant" test, I decided, on a lark, to write a vampire
test.
I didn't really have a target; I just started writing questions
donw
and before long, I had a test that didn't quite test vampirism,
but
rather how much like a vampire you already were.
And then it struck me- this test actually tested how easily
you
could become a vampire; what kind of changes you'd have to
make,
what kind of habits you'd have to change. And now it's shot to
the
top of the OKCupid stats, in at least two categories.
Now, I wrote that test in about an hour overall, and I left out
two
things about vampirism that I couldn't quite cast easily as
questions:
sleeping during daylight, and the thing about sleeping on dirt of
one's
home earth (or is it the earth of where you were turned? I
forget).
But people seem to like it....

The How Easily You'd Become A Vampire Test
How to make real Moussaka. Yes, I'm greek. This is the real
stuff.
I make it organic, because I like it that way. YMMV.
Parts List:
1 lb ground beef.
1 big can crushed tomatoes
1 lb redskinned potatoes
1 tbsp salt
1/2 the tomato can full of HOT (as in boiling hot) water
In a Big Pot (you know, the one you never use), brown the beef
on
low heat. While it's browning, scrub (no need to peel!) the
redskinned potatoes and slice the potatoes in 1/4" thick
slices,
then cut the slices in half widthwise.
Once the beef is mostly browned, dump in the potatoes and
tomatoes
and salt and boiling hot water.
Keep the heat low so you don't have to stir it often. Stir
gently,
The idea is NOT to break the potato slices.
Keep simmering (barely bubbling) till the potatoes start
breaking
even with seldom gentle stirring (this should take about 30 to
45
minutes). In the meantime, the tomatoes and beef cook down
nicely.
It's ready as soon as the potatoes are tender.
It's a tasty, good, and cheap meal that freezes well.
