My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a freelance illustrator working out of my Ascot Vale studio, producing artworks for books, albums, museums and the like.

My non-arting time is often spent working on personal projects (usually more art), listening to audiobooks while wandering around Royal Park. and watching absolutely abominable films with names like Space Mutiny and Attack of the Eyeball.

Interests-wise, I've been fascinated by nature as long as I can remember. So, along with reading as much as I can about animal life and biology, I also share my house with several tropical fish and a gigantic mantis.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am working in my dream field as an illustrator, and so far have been given the opportunity to draw everything from aliens, extinct giant Pterosaurs and even the odd cosmetics advertisement. Alongside this work I am piecing together my first illustrated book and will soon be teaching some science fiction artwork courses.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Art, particularly wildlife and science fiction illustration, and remembering as much information as I can digest about the natural world.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I am a giant!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Love science books, big old illustrated ones.

For more book fun, the Nights Dawn Trilogy, Expedition by Wayne Barlowe, and Animal Life are a few of my favourites.

As for artistic appreciation I am a huge fan of cartooning, which is rather strange because it’s almost the exact opposite of my own style. I also love surrealism and any well executed natural history or science fiction art.

Movie wise I love District 9, Pans Labyrinth, the LOTR Trilogy; the more fantastical and imaginative the better! Also have a soft spot for the so bad its good genre.

TV wise: Community, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, Home Movies, Frontline, anything by David Attenborough, Brass Eye, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Micallef Program and Adventure Time.

For musical it’s a diet of soundtracks, metal, relaxing drones and some guilty pop.

Podcasts: The Ricky Gervais Show and Adam and Joe have been on my Ipod for quite a long time.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Quite horribly bad films
Art tools.
The Internet
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Lots of time listening to music to imagine ideas for paintings and the like, along with the state of the environment, the nature of mortality, and female representation in popular art (actually true, check out, they are all over it!)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hammering away at a painting, watching some cartoons, or going exploring around the city.
