I consider myself a Floridian, but when I was eighteen I realized I needed to create a life somewhere new and challenging and I knew New York was my destination. I've been here 4 years now and I absolutely love everything it has to offer.
I went through all the typical trials and tribulations of being in New York alone at eighteen, while studying for my degree in mortuary science (yeah I know, creepy, but I love it)...But! through each battle there had been a good lesson learned at the end of course. In December of 2012, I graduated with my degree and shortly after started my residency as a funeral director.
And to make a long story short (too late I know) in February of 2014 I was finally licensed! And now, I'm trying to decided whether to go to get my MD in bereavement psychiatry or work toward become a professor of psychology or something in that area.
And that's kind of my twenty-two years of life in a nut shell!
And oh, before doing what I do now, I was a classically trained trombonist and was going to go to school to become a professional conductor. But life changes sometimes...as in always, and you got gotta roll with the punches right?
Of course I'm still a huge advocate and admirer of classical music and anything else I can find ☺️
Talk to me to find out anything else you'd like to know!
