My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hello! My name is Alex and I do my best to be a kind, honest, and witty guy, but I'm a bit shy at times. The things I love most are probably cooking, reading, gardening, watching old movies, and going out on long drives in the evening.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm currently working as a glass artist and I hope to move on to my dream job within a year or so. It's a ridiculous dream and I don't care to post it publicly, but I'd be more than happy to share if you ask.

As for hobbies, I've been spending my days learning to paint, working with bonsai trees, and restoring classic cars. Odd group of things, I know, but I really enjoy them all.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My goofy smile. Maybe my green and gold eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
My favorite authors right now are Ursula K. Le guin,
Isaac Asimov, and Stephen King. Also, any of the old TinTin books. I'm pretty picky about what I like to read.

My favorite movies are The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, Paper Moon, and Harvey. I'm a sucker for most art films, pretentious or no.

Netflix is a major vice of mine, so I might as well get the list out of the way: M*A*S*H*, Cheers, Hawaii 5-O, Miami Vice, Mad Men, Adventure Time, X-Files, Archer and a few more I'm likely forgetting.

I love just about every kind of food there is; especially Italian. So long as it isn't fish, I'll eat it.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Car
2. Wristwatch
3. Close friends
4. A good toolset
5. A good book
6. ...David Duchovny?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I can't swim or ride a bike.

I once read an Ayn Rand book... and loved it. Then I read another and hated it.

I like Doctor Who, but I'm loath to admit it as people get so weird about that damn show.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If you want to show me a great restaurant I haven't been to. Or if you just wanna chat or say "hi".

Also, please take note that if I message you a couple of sentences that simply amounts to "hello", it's not because I don't have something to say; it's because I believe in at least attempting a proper introduction before starting a conversation.
