My self-summary
Just a music lovin' SF fella looking for a cutie with whom to create warm fuzzy moments and waste copious amounts of time.
What I’m doing with my life
Right now, my main focus is losing a ton of weight. I've lost nearly 50 pounds, so far. Woohoo! Alas, my addiction to delicous food and residence in San Francisco make this a difficult task.

I spend a lot of my free time exploring the Bay Area, seeing movies, going to concerts, and sipping hot tasty beverages in cafes.

I pay the bills via an admin position at local medical center. I'm hoping to start a travel blog, eventually.
I’m really good at
...discovering great music, improvising on guitar or piano, karaoke (if I'm in the right mood and my vocal chords are cooperating), certain console games, Monopoly, accumulating a ginormous music library.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favorite books: Chuck Palahniuk's "Choke", Mark Haddon's "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime", Carl Sagan's "Contact", and nearly anything by Oliver Sacks. And I've got no problem passing the time with Steven King.

Favorite movies: Edge of Tomorrow, The Wolf of Wall Street, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, Inception, The Big Lebowski, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Matrix (not the sequels), Raiders of the Lost Ark (and sequels), Forrest Gump, Leon a.k.a The Professional, Sin City, 300 and Memento to name a few. And Primer! If you haven't seen Primer, go check it out right now! I also like bad but fun to watch movies like Scorpion King, The Room, and Dude, Where's My Car?. I grew up in a haunted house, so documentary or found footage style horror movies tend to make me jump out of my skin (in a good way). Actually, any horror will do, but I'm a little bored by zombies and vampires at this juncture. I'm mostly over the whole anime-thing, but I love me some AzuManga Daioh or Hayao Miyazaki.

Music... I love music of all genres, but tend to gravitate toward alternative or indie rock. (Yep, I was a teen in the nineties.) Some musical faves are: Carl Orff, George Gershwin, Pyotr Tchaikovksy, Scott Joplin, Jelly Roll Morten, Louis Prima, Ritchie Valens, The Beach Boys, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Jack Nietzche, Jean Jacques Perrey, Esquivel, The Avalanches, Aesop Rock, Matisyahu, Radical Face, Electric President, Superchunk, Sage Francis, Pixies, Neutral Milk Hotel, Failure, Weezer, Phish, The Flaming Lips, Sublime, Radiohead, The Smashing Pumpkins, Abandoned Pools, Blackalicious, Handsome Boy Modeling School, Puffy Ami Yumi, Gito Gito Hustler, GO-BANGS, Talking Heads, Django Reinhardt, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Rev. Horton Heat, the Specials, The Decemberists, Arcade Fire, Gorillaz, Blur, MarchFourth Marching Band, Diego's Umbrella, Spacehog, Muse, Pavement, Old 97's, M.Ward, DeVotchka... I'm getting tired.

Shows... I don't watch much TV, these days. I tend to watch left-leaning political commentary shows like The Young Turks online.. Mythbusters rocks and who doesn't love Family Guy or the Simpsons? Lost was decent show up until the horrid, poorly contrived ending. I'd have to say, my all time favorite show was probably the X-Files. Breaking Bad is my latest TV obsession.

Food... anything delicious! If I have to be specific, I looooove Italian, Mexican, Vietnamese, Indian, and Thai food. Burgers from Five Guys are the bomb. I never got into the sushi trend but I'm always down for tonkatsu, teriyaki or tempura. I'll try anything, twice. Btw, how come it's so difficult to find hot, gooey cinnamon rolls around here?
The six things I could never do without
coffee, music, iPhone, internet, guitar, the Lose It! app
I spend a lot of time thinking about current goals in life, technology, science, history, or whatever I happen to most intrigued by at the moment.
On a typical Friday night I am
watching a movie, enjoying a concert, dancing naked on a police car. (Ok, that last one happens on an atypical Friday night.)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Ah, but this a paradoxical question. Anything I publish on a public dating site would cease to be private, wouldn't it?
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 18–59
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You're interested in getting to know a nice guy while enjoying a tasty beverage.
