Books: ...uh, pics of my bookshelves available on request, for
brevity. I like hard sci-fi, history (esp. the Horrible kind),
fantasy, some crime...some authors I can see from where I'm sitting
are Terry Pratchett, Chris Brookmyre, Iain Banks (the 'M' is
optional), China Mieville, Neil Gaiman, Greg Bear, Alan Moore,
Brandon Sanderson...basically, though, I will read anything at
least once. Even Twilight.
I usually have two or three books open at any one time, lying in
different rooms, and I flit between them. I love comics almost as
much as 'real' books. If not more.
Movies: okay, I'm going into this even less than books, or you'll
still be reading tomorrow. All of them. No exceptions. No, really.
I've never met a film which had nothing to offer me. If we watch a
movie together, though, you'd better be prepared for some serious
critic-talk afterwards.
Shows: actually this one's pretty simple. Joss Whedon. At least,
according to my DVD collection. I also like Supernatural, Game of
Thrones, Six Feet Under, Sopranos, True Blood, Doctor Who, Mongrels
(you haven't heard of Mongrels? You should. Go. Now. I'll wait.
It's BBC puppet comedy. Go.
...Good, isn't it? Anyway.), Leverage and Red Dwarf, but I don't
often buy show DVDs.
Music: Metal, industrial, heavy metal, hard rock, dreadful 80s
hair-metal, punk. Rap metal. I'm sensing a theme here. Some folk.
And mashups. Dear sweet cheesy guitar-gods, but I love a good
mashup. Perhaps that should go in 'most private thing I'm willing
to admit'.
Food: I have to choose? :( Okay...I guess I'd pick Asian cooking
above all else. The spicier the better.
Gonna put games in here too: Assassin's Creed. Bastion. Bioshock.
Planescape Torment. Batman Arkham Whichever. Spec Ops: The Line
(the best war film you'll ever play.) Worms. Darksiders. The
Oddworld games (follow me!) Fable I-II-III. All the Lego games (the
ones without voice acting are better).
