My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I guess I will give this another go. I have had questionable luck to date, but always try to keep a positive outlook and hope for the best...

My life hasn't gone as planned, but then again, whose has? My first marriage didn't work out. I got married too young. I just graduated from college with a Bachelor's in Nursing. I love stars... 7 tattoos and they all have or are stars, also all small and go unnoticed most of the time. I'm happy... really truly happy. I love to do things for other people, but I'm no pushover... cross me once and I write you off. I don't have time for games. I like trying new things and going new places. Being outside makes me happy. I absolutely love doing silly touristy things. I LOVE HOCKEY.

Apparently the following things are big deal breakers in this town, so I will list them up front:
1) I'm divorced (no kids, but speaking of, I love kids)
2) I'm Catholic-ish
3) I have small, slightly visible, but rarely noticed tattoos
4) I'm not a tiny, fit, perfectly toned girl

To all of those things I have this to say: seriously?!? Take the time to get to know me and you might actually realize that I'm a great gal, good head on my shoulders, a lot of fun, etc. :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Finding any and every reason to be happy and have fun. I love going new places and trying new things. Getting in the car and picking a direction, windows down and music turned up, will almost always make me happy. The beach, no matter what time of year or what time of day, will ALWAYS bring a smile to my face. I love a good yoga class... might have something to do with the fact that my mom is an amazing yoga instructor. If you aren't located near me, thats ok... give me a reason to travel. The great thing about nursing is that I can pretty much get a job anywhere, so I'm open to relocating should the right person come into my life.

Oh and I'm an emergency room nurse :)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Singing (originally majored in vocal performance).
Laughing/smiling.
Having fun.
Over thinking.
Loving.
Procrastinating.
Picking the slowest moving line at the store.
Being the go to person when one of my friends needs a pep talk.
Trying to find something good in every situation.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes... they are not brown, not green, not hazel, not golden but some strange, unique combination. One person said they look like marbles.

Next would be my smile and laughter... I laugh whole-heartedly from my soul.

And... I'm short.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I LOVE to read. When I have time, I will pretty much read anything I can get my hands on.

I will watch just about any movie at least once. I like everything. period pieces: The Duchess, Pride & Prejudice, Jane Eyre, The Other Boleyn Girl, etc
comedies: your standard Adam Sandler flicks, Will Ferrell, anything with Simon Pegg
dramas: The Descendants, My Sister's Keeper, The Shawshank Redemption, Steel Magnolias, Revolutionary Road
I even do war and history movies: Black Hawk Down, The Thin Red Line, Enemy at the Gates, Schindler's List, Lawless
I'm seriously partial to Indie/Independent/Foreign films: Run Lola Run, The Namesake, King of Devil's Island, The Piano

I don't have a ton of time for tv, but I do like Sons of Anarchy, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, How I Met Your Mother, Girls, Shameless, American Dad.

There are two things that will sum up music for me... “Without music, life would be a mistake.” Friedrich Nietzsche, Twilight of the Idols. And “Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent.” Victor Hugo. I was originally a vocal performance major in college (training to be an opera singer) and a violin performance minor... I LOVE music. What I listen to depends on the day, my mood, what I'm doing, etc.

Avocados should be their own food group. Hummus and falafel make me happy. I love salads and sushi. Raspberries. I will try most things at least once.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Family and friends are a given and don't count... specifically my Momma and two best friends, that are essentially the sisters I, biologically speaking, do not have.

These are in no specific order, simply as they came to mind:
1. The stars. To be more precise, laying on the beach at night, listening to the waves, feeling the cool sand, smelling the salt in the air, and just losing myself in the night sky. That right there is one of my favorite things... EVER.
2. COFFEE (I'm a nurse. .. We work long shifts!).
3. Music.
4. Books.
5. Glasses/sunglasses.
6. Some sort of faith.
and even though it says six... I'm doing a seventh because I can't live (literally) without this either
7. my Inhalers... severe asthmatic, which means sorry, but NO smokers. I like living/breathing and second hand smoke really sets me off.

You understand the fact that I do not live the standard Mon-Fri lifestyle... That's nursing for you.

Physically speaking, you find beauty in something other than tall, thin, perfect blondes. Because a thin, leggy blonde I am not. I'm short.. I consider myself lucky to have broken 5 feet and I have curves. I'm Italian and I look it... I have hips, an ass, boobs. I'm not a tiny girl. But I do take care of myself and while I could stand to lose a few pounds, I'm also happy and confident with who I am and the way I look.
