I know what I want out of life, though I'm not entirely sure what that life will look like. For me that simply means I can envision many different possibilities and paths to a happy and passionate existence. Sometimes I dream of a life trotting the globe, other times I want to live in a treehouse in the forest. Even a regular house would suffice. Like Gretel; possibly I just want to wear a dirndl. I digress. Generally I find myself seeking adventure, so travelling is an important part of my life. I truly love the idea that I cannot dictate what the next five, ten, or fifty years hold for me. If you understand that, we might just have something lovely in common.
I like to believe that I have a very open mind; I don't believe our world has room for racism, homophobia, or intolerance. I am a social creature with spells of misanthropy largely generated by seedy environments such as suburban strip malls and literature from Oprah's Book Club. I am skeptical of many things, hypocritical by nature, cynical as hell, optimistic, and contradict myself often. I laugh well and often. I try my best to be non-judgemental and have many different, weird, and wonderful friends. I a bad Canadian for the fact that I am a terrible skier and can't make it up the toe rope on a snowboard, but I love beer and am hopelessly in love with the Rockies. It evens out. In the in the summer I will be found amongst the mountains and trees; hiking, doodling, writing, dreaming.
I grew up in Calgary and recently returned from five months of work and travel in and around India. I am happy to meet a good friend and like mind or, of course, my dream boat, so if you think we may have something to talk about, let's talk over a brew and good music.
Cheers!
